Wow. Just…wow. Found this article over at Geekologie about blind gamer Jordan Verner and three very dedicated people who helped him not only play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but actually beat the game using a script of over 100,000 keystrokes describing in detail the entirety of the game move-by-move.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime is optimistic about the forthcoming Wii Zelda title. In an interview with Nintendo Week recently, Fils-Aime has said that will see the new Zelda title when it is “perfect”.
“Right now it’s still in development but the key message that Mr Aonuma and Mr Miyamoto are telling us is that it really has to be perfect when it launches. That is what the fans are expecting.”
“So for all the Zelda fans out there right now, I’d say enjoy Spirit Tracks and know that the Zelda title for Wii is going to come out when it’s perfect.” he added.
Here’s hoping it reaches perfection by Christmas, but you can never rush a masterpiece.
Apologies for the terrible pun…
Nintendo has confirmed in a press release today that DS title The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will see release on December 11th in the UK.
The game will see released in America on December 7th, only a week before.
Those looking forward to a radically different Zelda game for the next Wii title in the franchise, along the lines of the Wind Waker major graphical shift, are going to be sorely disappointed.
The only information we have about the next Wii Zelda game so far is this Zelda concept art from E3 2009, earlier this month.
“I don’t think it’s going to be that radically different,” Shigeru Miyamoto told Nintendo Power in their latest issue.
So there you have it, straight from the man himself.
Gamestop CEO Dan DeMatteo told CNBC that Nintendo has informed the video game retail store that the company has a “blockbuster” title due for release by the end of the year.
“We think there will be a Nintendo key property coming out by the end of the year,” he said. “They haven’t given us any insight, but they have told us to reserve [shelf] space.”
There’s few details available, but speculation suggests that it may be a new Zelda game. Lets hope we find out something more concrete at E3.
Siliconera has taken a look at the Japanese Wii Music site, and discovered the first few confirmed tracks from the game.
There are six in all, with probably more on the way:
* My Grandfather’s Clock
* Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
* Ode to Joy
* Super Mario Brothers Theme
* The Legend of Zelda
* Animal Crossing Wild World
“Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” has also been shown in videos on Gametrailers.
Wii Music launches in Japan in only two days.

Last year at the Nite to Unite for Kids charity fundraiser, Ken Kutaragi, the “father of the PlayStation”, was named the Champion Honoree. This year, world-renowned Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto will be recieveing the Champion Award.
Miyamoto joined Nintendo in 1977 as a staff artist, and created many of Nintendo’s iconic characters, such as Mario and Zelda, as well as being credited for masterminding the creation of the Wii and games such as Wii Sports and Wii Fit.
The event will be taking place on October 22nd, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. Big names in the industry, such as THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell, Disney Interactive Studios executive VP and general manager Graham Hopper, and Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiell, among others, will be present.
Tickets for the event run $500, with the proceeds being donated to numerous children’s charities across the United States. In the ten years the events has taken place, it has raised more than $11 million, as well as honoring icons such as LucasArts’ George Lucas, EA’s Bing Gordon, and Nintendo’s Howard Lincoln.
