Developer Hideo Kojima will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2009 Game Developer’s Choice Awards at GDC. Since the start of this month, 1 million copies of Spore have been sold. EA seems ecstatic over the success of their game, released on PC, Mac, and DS. Its happened fast, despite the many people complaining about Spore’s DRM. I do wonder, however, what that number would be if you added the number of pirated copies. And I doubt I’m the only one.
