It had to happen sometime right? Finally, we now have a chap who is obviously very talented in the art of running into and springing off of walls and has decided to adorn himself in the garb of Altair; the protagonist from Ubisoft’s original Assassin’s Creed, for the world to see.
And so the mistake gets corrected. Gearbox Software and Ubisoft have, at last, seen some sort of sense and decided to disassociate the poorly received Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 from the rest of the series. Huzzah.
One of the most charming and enjoyable experiences I had with a platformer last year, came from Ubisoft‘s rather excellent Rayman Origins. It was a hugely playable platformer that while perhaps a little on the easy side, nevertheless enthralled me with its solid gameplay and outrageously gorgeous 2D visuals. Its sequel though, Ubisoft has now confirmed, is a Wii U exclusive.
Ubisoft, the single largest third-party supporter of Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii U console, has confirmed that despite their large and varied launch offering for the machine, they actually don’t have a huge financial investment in developing games for it.
I have been waiting for this news since they announced the European only versions of the Assassin’s Creed 3 OMG I’M SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY editions, but Ubisoft has finally come through and I couldn’t be happier. Well, I probably could be happier, but I’m pretty damn happy.
The developers over at Rocksmith like to play games with their fans, releasing hints of what their next songs will be. This week, the hints were all guessed very quickly that they confirmed the tracks early for us. Check it out!

Featuring the new protagonist Connor, Assassin’s Creed 3 unveils itself with boldness. Whether you’re killing wildlife by combating against wolves or hunting down British soldiers, the game seems absolutely astounding. Combat seems to be more action packed and the traveling seems to be much faster paced. I can tell you more but check out this demo video.
Shootmania Storm, a user-content based shooter along the same vein as track mania, was demoed with a blistering showdown between professional gaming teams the Railgun All-stars and the rocket Angels.
