Ubisoft’s released a trailer of the HD remake of last-generation cult classic Beyond Good and Evil, which is finally getting a high definition remastering as a digital download for the HD consoles. The HD remake appears to be a blow-for-blow remake of the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox original, and launches for Xbox Live Arcade next week. A PSN release will follow later this year. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood was launched a mere week ago, but the title has already gone on to become a massive hit. Selling a million copies in its first week, the game has become Ubisoft’s fastest-selling game in the European territories. The AC games in total have sold in excess of 20 million games. But Ubisoft isn’t resting on its laurels just yet.
Before E3 this year, Assassin’s Creed honcho Patrice Désilets decided to quit his fairly cushy job at Ubisoft to persue new gaming interests. Those new interests lie with THQ, of all things, who are going to open up their own development studio in Montreal. Désilets will be the head of this new development wing.
