The Official US Blog has just released details on the features of Firmware 3.0. It’s all listed after the break, along with a video showcasing it.
There’s no date for it yet, as we’ve still got some firmware updates to go before then, surely, but it’s a nice update and something to look forward to.
And before you ask… yes, they’ve moved the battery indicator from above the clock!
According to a recent piece in the US Official PlayStation Magazine, Sony may be working on some sort of rewards system for those who like to horde their trophy collection. It suggests that getting a certain number of trophies or reaching a high enough level will reward players with free items.
The Official PlayStation Magazine suggests that rewards could range rewards from getting early beta access to games, or free wallpapers and themes. Take it with a grain of salt though, even if the source is OP..
If this prove to be true, Trophies will suddenly become even more lucrative…
Along with releasing PSP Firmware 5.00 details details, Sony have also released information on the next firmware update for the PS3.
Addition include support for the PS3 Official Bluetooth Headset, improvements to the Trophies interface and friend status screen, video scene search, and the uber cool addition of screenshot-capturing.
Full details after the cut.
