Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Launch Trailer

Posted by Jens Erik Vaaler On August - 30 - 2010

I’m a big fan of Spider-Man and one of my most anticipated titles of the year is Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, featuring a team-up of four different Spider-Men from different dimensions.

Adding to that anticipation is the following trailer, highlightning just what each Spidey is all about; stealth; speed; etc.

Not only that, all the voice actors are finally locked in for their characters. I, for one, can’t wait! Game’s out September 7. Video after the cut.

Enslaved Gamescom trailer looks fantastic.

Posted by Jens Erik Vaaler On August - 11 - 2010
Gamescom! Big annual game convention means there will be games shown. One of those games is one I’m very, very excited about: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.

Why am I excited? Because of the newly released trailer, among other things. Enslaved looks fucking fantastic, full of vibrant colours and well animated characters. The game appears to be part Prince of Persia, part brawler and part Uncharted 2. No Nolan North in this game though.

The trailer can be found after the cut.

New Guild Wars 2 trailer promises to raise the bar for MMORPGs

NCsoft has just released a new trailer for Guild Wars 2. In it, the developers make some bold claim about redefining the way in which story-telling is portrayed in the genre, and about giving the player’s character a sense of genuine importance in the virtual world of the game.

There are some bold claims, but its certainly hard to not be impressed by the flashiness of the trailer. Hit the cut and judge for yourself, even if you’re not an MMORPG fan. You might be decidedly impressed.

It looks like the game will take full advantage of the Wii Remote as part of its control scheme.

I am Alive E3 trailer

Posted by Jens Erik Vaaler On June - 23 - 2010

Ubisoft’s E3 press conference this year was fairly uneventful apart from the announcement of a new Rayman game, and some further details on Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. One of the titles I’ve been anticipating for a long time, I am Alive, was a complete no-show.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Posted by Joe Pomerening On June - 15 - 2010

Today at E3 2010, we got to see a trailer for Bioware’s latest creation, Star Wars: The Old Republic. We don’t have a whole lot of details right now aside from this totally awesome trailer.

What do we have in this trailer? We see a carefully planned ambush against the Empire, which looked almost like it was going to result in a total defeat, when a young woman comes flying in to save the day.

This trailer has your typical Star Wars eye candy; wicked light saber fights, tons of explosions, a sexy babe kicking tail, robots, and some of the most amazing choreography ever. Bioware looks like they’re about to knock another one out of the park with Star Wars: The Old Republic. Check out the full trailer after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Square Enix to release new trailer for FFXIV tomorrow

Posted by Joe Pomerening On June - 15 - 2010

The Gaming Vault received a message from the guys at Square Enix today regarding the release of a trailer for the newest installment in the Final Fantasy series.

“Heads up!

We’ll be sending out details regarding where you can get your mitts on these during the day tomorrow.

Have a great day/evening depending on which part of the world you’re currently in!”

Just like Microsoft gave everybody in the audience a new Xbox 360 Slim, including our very own Alex Donaldson, it looks like Square Enix will be handing out trailers for Final Fantasy XIV. Not exactly sure yet what this means. Will the trailers be handed out in DVD format? USB stick? Flip book?

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds E3 trailer

Posted by Jens Erik Vaaler On June - 11 - 2010

The E3 trailers are being pushed out the door to grab your attentionspan for a few minutes as we count down to E3 2010. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions have already shown their stuff, and it’s now Capcom’s turn at the trailer helm.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is shaping up to be every bit as great as its predecessor, and I’m loving the current aesthetic the game’s got going in the trailer. Not only do we see characters we’ve already seen, but we get our first glimpses at both Deadpool and Dante, who seem to be mirrors of each other, apart from their special attacks obviously. The full trailer for MVC3: FTW can be found after the cut. Oh yeah, I went there!

Square Enix have just released the E3 2010 trailer for Kane & Lynch 2, titled “She’d better be worth it, Lynch!” It shows off Lynch’s possibly misleaded desire to protect his new girlfriend, Xiu.

It also shows off a bunch of the actual gameplay. We’ll be on hand at E3 to test out Kane & Lynch 2 ourselves, and TGV’s very own Michael O’Connor will be interviewing some of the staff on the game.

Check out the trailer below.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions E3 trailer

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions E3 trailer

More and more trailers are being released in the build up towards E3. We’ve already presented you with a quick look at Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and are proud to follow it up with the new trailer for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

The new trailer shows off some more scenes from the already revealed universes of Amazing Spidey and Noir Spidey, but also reveals what we all knew was coming: Spider-Man 2099. Spider-Man 2099 is, for those not in the know, not an alternate Peter Parker, but a geneticist named Miguel O’Hara. In an experiment to chemically purge his body, O’Hara gained the powers of a spider and took the name Spider-Man.

He’s basically a stronger, less agile version of Amazing Spidey, and it’ll be interesting to see what they do to differentiate him from Amazing Spidey. At the end of the trailer is also a tease about who will be the final alternate Spidey. To me it looks a bit like Spider-Carnage, so let the speculation begin. The trailer can be found, as always, after the cut.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the west E3 trailer

Posted by Jens Erik Vaaler On June - 7 - 2010

I’ve already told you why you should be excited about Enslaved: Odyssey to the West by Ninja Theory, but if you’re still not excited, here’s another reason: the game’s E3 trailer, which shows off the breathtaking graphics, the two main characters and a bit of the combat.

I’ll just let the trailer speak for itself. You can find it after the cut. The full game is out this fall, and a demo is currently being planned.
