Sony has confirmed this morning that quirky action game (and my personal “Best Game Idea Ever” award winner) Tokyo Jungle is finally coming to North American PSN! In case you forgot last time I covered it, Tokyo Jungle has you controlling one of fifty types of animals as they learn to survive and prosper in a post apocalyptic Tokyo. And by animals, I mean Pomeranians, lions, gazelle, cats, wolves, and tyrannosaurs. [...]

I love crazy, quirky things and anybody who knows anything about me will also tell you that I love animals as well. Sony‘s PS3 downloadable effort,  Tokyo Jungle, is just the thing for me then.  As the trailer at the bottom of the article ably demonstrates, its pretty heavily steeped in both insanity and rampaging furries.

Tokyo Jungle had a fact sheet for Europe on Sony’s E3 show floor. It’s releasing June 7th in Japan. It’s also the best idea for a video game I’ve seen all year. But it’s getting overshadowed by the rest of E3. Let’s fix that.
