EA‘s reboot of the mighty strategy game Syndicate now lives as a first-person shooter in the modern day world. Launching alongside Asura’s Wrath, you can now grab Syndicate from your favorite retailer or digital download shop for $59.99.
EA has let loose a few Hollywood heavy hitters set to appear in the upcoming Syndicate reboot game from Starbreeze Studios. Among the names, we have Rosario Dawson, Brian Cox, and Michael Wincott. Out on February 21st in the US and 24th for Europe, Syndicate aims to bring a fresh first-person shooter look at the tactical franchise. The latest title in development by Starbreeze Studios, the upcoming FPS reboot of strategy series Syndicate, has been banned in Australia, failing to pass the Office of Film and Literature Classification’s guidelines for an MA15+ rating, the highest available for games.

Swedish studio Starbreeze confirmed that they are not using the Unreal 3 Engine to make Project Redlime and will instead be using an in-house engine. A Starbreeze rep confirmed this on the forums. The rep also said that future titles will be using the Unreal 3 Engine. Project Redlime is reportedly a revival of an old Peter Molyneux franchise, Syndicate.
