Capcom has just announced the final character in the Super Street Fighter IV line-up, a new character by the name of Hakan.
Lets just say he’s… different, and leave it at that.
The video is under the cut, if you’re willing to take the dive.
As you may recall, Adon, Cody and Guy were confirmed for Super Street Fighter IV in Famitsu recently, and now we have a video showing off the characters in all their HD, 3D glory.
Fans will no doubt be impressed with how well these characters’ moves have been translated to Street Fighter IV. As an avid Adon and Guy player myself, I’m especially impressed with what they’ve done with these two characters.
Check out the trailer for yourself, after the cut.
This one is sure to please the Street Fighter fans. Famitsu has just announced Adon, along with Final Fight’s Cody and Guy (looking like they did in Street Fighter Alpha 3) as playable characters in Super Street Fighter IV.
The scans from Famitsu show the characters in their Street Fighter IV interpretation. and they’re extremely faithful to their original designed, but updated for the HD generation.
Check them out below.
According to a story on Siliconera, Super Street Fighter IV will be cranking up the nostalgia. The car smashing and barrel breaking bonus stages from Street Fighter II are making a triumphant return. This is revealed in a scan from Famitsu magazine.
Famitsu could also reveal details about SSFIV’s online modes. New options will include Team Battles, supporting 2 on 2 and 4 on 4, and a Replay Channel. The matches themselves are still one on one, but Team mode will allow clans to meet up and get a common score.
Capcom has also added Endless Mode, which lets eight players meet up and fight.
One word people: Awesome!
Capcom has just officially announced Super Street Fighter IV, an upgraded version of the existing game with a plethora of new characters and features.
The game will release as a stand-alone disc; this will not be DLC. The good news? It won’t be selling at full price, a good move on Capcom’s part which gives a strong incentive for existing owners of Street Fighter IV to pick up this improved edition of the game.
The game will include include eight characters (although this has yet to be finalised), including classic characters T. Hawk and Dee Jay, and new characters Juri. Who the other five characters will turn out to be is anyone’s guess, but fan favourites from Street Fighter Alpha (and at least one character from Street Fighter III) is a safe guess.
As long as they balance the game so that Sagat and Ken are no longer so over-powered as to be the only characters picked by 99.99% of the player-base, I’ll be happy.
The game is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 next spring. Excited?
Talking to the press today, Capcom seems enthusiastic (and rightfully so) about the launch of Street Fighter IV this Friday, and is expecting major financial success from this game.
“If buzz and anticipation equates to sales then we have very high expectations commercially,” said a rep. ““We’re tremendously excited to be launching Street Fighter IV this Friday.”
“It’s the return of the most loved, most played, most bought and most copied fighting game of all time. And Street Fighter IV is the best Street Fighter yet.”
And seeing as even the most hardcore fighting fans have been softening to this game very quickly, many of can agree that not just Capcom stroking their own egos.

According to recent reports by hardcore Street Fighter players have noticed a problem with the standard version of the Mad Catz Street Fighter IV stick.
Members of the Shoryuken message board have pointed out that the joystick gets stuck in the former diagonal position instead of snapping back to the neutral centre point.
“There is a small metal washer between the body of the joystick and spring cap. The washer moves around and the plastic spring cap gets stuck on the grooves where the washer is supposed to sit,” explained one disgruntled user.
Its important to note that the problem has only been reported in the lower cost model. The high cost tournament standard version works just dandy. Consider yourself warned in advanced, should you have any plans to go out and purchase one.

SCEE is yet again refusing to release the PS3 version of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix in Europe due to “faults and other problems,” according to Capcom UK spokesman Leo Tan.
Apparently, the game needs to be “redone,” in order to pass submission. Capcom is working on yet another version to submit to SCEE within the next three weeks.
The fighter was released on Xbox Live and the US PlayStation Store last year, but it looks like European PS3 owners won’t be seeing it any time soon, the poor bastards.
Update: Capcom has denied making theses claims, but a reason for the game’s delay in Europe still hasn’t been provided.

Capcom has just announced release dates for its line-up in the first half of 2009.
It looks like it’s going to be a good start to the year for Capcom and gamers alike with titles like Street Fighter IV only weeks away, and Resident Evil 5 and next-gen Bionic Commando coming shortly behind.

Those wait for PlayStation Home are going to have to wait a little big longer; it’s still not up, but we’ll be keeping you updated on that one. We all know that game companies release different version of the same game onto multiple platforms in the hopes of getting us to buy multiple copies, and it looks like Capcom is doing just that with Street Fighter IV, but as most of us can only be able to buy one version which one will you choose?
The PS3 version comes with a Ryu figure, a CD soundtrack, a Blu-ray disc containing the full anime movie and promotional trailers, a Prima hint book with illustrations by Udon and then access to some unspecified downloadable content.
The 360 and PC version will contain the above content, but a different figures.
Also, everyone outside Europe can be jealous… as European copies will get both figures in their collection.

Street Fighter characters will be invading LittleBigPlanet soon; Zangief, Chun-Li, Guile and Ryu will be joining the fight in the upcoming costume pack, which will be available to download this thursday from the the PlayStation Store.
Each outfit will be available for $1.99, or the full set of four for $5.99.
