EA‘s reboot of the mighty strategy game Syndicate now lives as a first-person shooter in the modern day world. Launching alongside Asura’s Wrath, you can now grab Syndicate from your favorite retailer or digital download shop for $59.99.

Well, ain’t this a surprise? EA has gone on record to say that Starbreeze‘s Syndicate reboot (aptly titled Syndicate) will not have an online pass. A new trailer for the sequel to the brilliant game, The Darkness by Starbreeze Studios, has just hit the internet. The trailer is great and looks like it could also be used as the intro for The Darkness 2, as it sums up the first game pretty good. Check out the trailer after the jump.

Swedish studio Starbreeze confirmed that they are not using the Unreal 3 Engine to make Project Redlime and will instead be using an in-house engine. A Starbreeze rep confirmed this on the forums. The rep also said that future titles will be using the Unreal 3 Engine. Project Redlime is reportedly a revival of an old Peter Molyneux franchise, Syndicate.
