With the launch of Sonic Generations, the game heralding Sonic’s 20th anniversary, SEGA has released a trailer to celebrate. Available nationwide as of today for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, the video compiles footage from both the modern and classic Sonic stages.

Head’s up, people! Big releases coming at you tomorrow, including heavy hitters from Naughty Dog, Ubisoft Montreal, and Snowblind Studios. For a full list and convenient purchasing links via Amazon, check behind the cut!

As if the news that Silver the Hedgehog will make an appearance wasn’t enough, today Sega confirmed that Sonic Generations will also be available on the PC. The PC version will support stereoscopic 3D and resolutions up to 1080p. Not to mention all the benefits of Steamworks. Sonic Generations drops on 360, PS3 and PC on November 1 in the US and the 4th in Europe.

Real quick one! Silver the Hedgehog has been revealed as another of Sonic’s rivals in Sonic Generations! He first appeared in the 2006 iteration of Sonic the Hedgehog, and has since appeared as a side character in iterations after that. Hit the cut for a hi-res screen shot from Generations!

As if Sonic Generations wasn’t awesome enough on its own, SEGA announced that one of the characters making an appearance is none other than Shadow the Hedgehog.
