Alongside a flurry of new details for the upcoming Crackdown sequel, Microsoft also released new screenshots of the game, and it’s certainly looking pretty.

The first ever screenshots for Funcom’s upcoming MMORPG The Secret World surfaced earlier today, and this journalist for one is most definitely impressed.

Square Enix is still hard at work with Final Fantasy XIII, which is nearing completion. At least the Japanese version is nearing completion. Then again, Square is hard at work with about 5 other titles at the same time, including FFXIV: Online.
Famitsu is spreading the good word about FFXIII by giving us some danmed good looking screenshots, showing off a new character named Hope Estheim, previously shown in an E3 trailer, as well as some new monsters.
While Japan is getting the game pretty soon, us Westerners will have to wait at least another six months before we can give this behemoth a try.
Assassin’s Creed on the PSP will be a fully fledged 3D title with a new story, bridging the gap between the original game and Assassin’s Creed 2.
And considering this is running on a PSP, it looks pretty damn impressive when compared to the PS3 / 360 games of the same name.

Eidos has released new screens of Batman: Arkham Asylum today, which are all looking rather dark and dandy.

So it’s official; the spiritual sequel to the gaming legend that is the Knights of the Old Republic series has finally been confirmed (to no surprise to anyone) and it’s going to be an MMORPG. So, who can honestly say they saw this coming?
Amongst the batch of announced Wii titles today, Sin and Punishment 2 made a surprise appearance. Sin and Punishment is a highly praised N64 classic that recently made it oversees thanks to the Wii Virtual Console download service.
The fanboy in me wept with joy at the revelation of a Wii sequel.

E.A have just released a batch of new screenshots for Mirror’s Edge, and its world is looking as unnaturally clean as it always has. It’s certainly a striking art direction.
There are also rumours abounding that a demo for the game will hit the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace this week, but considering how far away the game’s release is, the validity of this rumour should definately be taken with a pinch of salt.
Mirror’s Edge is due out on November 11th in the US, and November 14th in Europe, with a PC release slated for “late winter”.

The most recent issue of Nintendo Power was the first magazine to nab screenshots of the DS bound GTA: Chinatown Wars, and we have them here for your viewing pleasure.
These are scans, not direct feed images, so the image quality isn’t too great, but at least it gives us an idea what to expect out of the game.
