As with every game, there are both upsides and downsides when it comes to waiting for the damned thing to release. Take Batman: Arkham City for example: Downside: it’s not out for another year. Nintendo has recently filed several trademarks which appear to be related to the Nintendo 3DS. This comes courtesy of a report on Siliconera. The trademarks filed are CrossPass, CrossPass Mode, CrossPass Network, and CrossPass Connection, which sound like they’re related to the 3DS networking mode. This feature will allow players to exchange data when near other players.
For those of you that didn’t know, fighting game tournament extraordinaire EVO was held in Las Vegas last week. Games were played, winners were crowned, and rumours of a surprising crossover surfaced. Namco Bandai’s Katsuhiro Harada and Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono teased the crowd at EVO with some peculiar onstage banter. The two revealed a fighting game debut trailer set to go live on Saturday, July 24th during Comic-Con.

According to actress Jeri Ryan’s Twitter account, the clip was made by director Kevin Tancharoen to sell his vision to Warner Bros. Jeri said she did her role as a favor for a friend.
