God of War 3 is "complete"

Sony director of development John Hight confirmed today that God of War 3 is complete and that the developers have moved on to beta-testing the game.

“We just made beta with the game so we’re doing a lot of play-testing, tuning the game to make sure that it’s fun, got the right level of complexity and of course optimised so that it runs super-smooth,” said Hight.

The game’s still due in March, so get excited! Interview after the break.

BlazBlue heading to Europe… In six months

Posted by Jens Erik Vaaler On August - 17 - 2009

PQube has announced today that they’ve picked up the European publishing rights to 2D fighter BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. The title is set for release on PS3 and 360 in Q1 of 2010.

The fighter has been out in Japan and the US since late June, and for a while it seemed like a European release was unlikely. But in order to make up for the delay, players will get several things not included in the US or Japanese releases. They include:

* The OST for the game
* Character strategy guide
* New characters and moves

As in most European games, Germans, Frenchmen, Italians and Spaniards will be catered for in addition to the rest of us who can understand English.

Want to be an electrified superhero (or supervillian)? Well, now you can do so earlier than you thought you would, since inFAMOUS is going to release earlier than previously expected. The US release date has moved forward by about a month, to May 26th, and there’ll be a demo on the 21st. A double whammy of welcome surprises! There’s no news yet on the UK release date, but we’ll keep you posted.

Also, through the above link to the Official Playstation US Blog, you’ll see three different preorder packages;

  • An in-game melee power called the Gigawatt Blades that’s stronger than any other melee weapon in the game.
  • An exclusive Home costume of a REAPER gang member.
  • Early access to the demo on the 7th May.

I know which I’d pick…if I was American. Read the rest of this entry »
