We’ve all been waiting so patiently, but now it’s official! Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is being released on October 13th for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network! No word on the WiiWare or iOS version release dates, but they’re probably right around the corner!

UPDATE: Looks like the rumor was true after all. A pre-Tokyo Game Show gathering revealed that an “Ultimate Hits” version of Final Fantasy XIII will be released in Japan, which includes the aforementioned “Easy Mode” and English language track with various subtitles. The “Easy Mode” will be able to “Break” enemies faster for those unfamiliar with the Optima Change system (Paradigm Shift in the Western release).

Konami confirmed during their Gamescom spotlight that the upcoming PS3 port of No More Heroes, called “Heroes’ Paradise” will be compatible with PlayStation Move. Microsoft confirmed the Kinect price points in the major release territories: $149 in the US, £129 for Kinect in the UK, and €149 in mainland Europe. Microsoft has also confirmed a new Arcade console, with a Slim design and 4 GB of internal flash memory.
