According to a recent IGN report, Warner Bros. has successfully overturned F.E.A.R. 2′s ban in Australia by the OFLC, and the title will now see release in February with a MA15+ rating in the region.

Warner appealed against the ban recently by submitting the game straight to the Australian Classification Review Board, who kindly agreed to release the game with no cuts to its content.

One would almost think the OFLC was over-zealous and heavy-handed.
