CD Projekt has told Eurogamer today that it will be announcing a brand new IP at its press conference tomorrow, and not another Witcher game for consoles, as many were expecting. CD Projeckt’s head of marketing Michał Platkow-Gilewski said it would have Witcher-related news for us all later in the year, but tomorrow’s announcement will be all about the new.
The announcement of Nintendo’s new console Wii U was met with some confusion, both from the press and regular gamers viewing the press conference. Nintendo didn’t have much to mention as far as first party games were concerned, but a ton of third party developers are on board to bring several great titles to the WiiU. Nintendo’s press conference started off strong with a Legend of Zelda retrospective, with a live orchestra and choir accompanying footage from past Zelda console games. VG247 can confirm today that Microsoft will be holding a Gamescom press conference next Tuesday, August 17, a day before the event officially opens.
