As you may already know, we’re pretty big fans of the Pokémon series here. And Pokémon Black and White is shaping up to be another fine entry in what’s already a great series of games.
When the new starters were revealed, many of us began to wonder what they were going to look like. Well, we might have that answer for you. The following images were posted on serebii.net, and are possibly the evolved forms of Tsutarja, Pokabu and Mijumaru.
Thanks to Tiny Cartridge, I’ve stumbled upon some really cool Pokémon-related items, but I find this to be the best of the lot. I’m not sure if this cartridge exists anymore, or even if it ever existed, but the bootleg game/art-hack makes for an interesting tale at the very least. Sounds like something that would originate on 4chan, but who can say for sure? The internet is full of great storytellers.
I’m sure we’ll all used the names of various Pokémon as double entendres. But I’ve never seen anyone nerdy enough to use all original 151 Pokémon in a rap song about sex. Until now.
“The Birds and the Beedrills” is a song about a man trying to get the freak on with his girlfriend, describing the act with Pokémon names. It’s a little crude, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t pretty awesome to boot. He’s certainly not a master rapper, but his verbals skills aren’t that bad. And it takes some balls to make something like this work so well.

You can still catch’em all, but with a twist!
In the upcoming Pokémon Black and White, players will not be able to find any of the current 493 monsters until they’ve effectively beaten the game, meaning defeated the Elite Four. This piece of news comes courtesy of GameFreak’s Junichi Masuda.
Some more Pokémon Black and White news hit the internet today! Just some small details, but big enough to mention as they very well impact the future of Pokémon as we know it!
Pokémon Black and White will feature a much more dynamic battle system. In fact, so much more dynamic, that this new system is probably going to make even Pokémon Battle Revolution’s interface look tame.
Information about Pokémon Black and White is scarce on the internet right now, but bits and pieces are trickling out of the clockwork as their impending Japanese release approaches.

There’s new attacks, new abilities, an upcoming event to coincide with a new movie and, of course, new Pokémon!

Before I begin, let me preface this review with a few facts.
First thing some people might have problems with when it comes to Pokemon SoulSilver and HeartGold is that the main roster of Pokemon is a deviation from the original 151 Pokemon. Being a Pokemon purist, myself (Pokepurist, if I may), I started playing SoulSilver expecting to hate the new Pokemon. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised.
No surprise to anyone is that HeartGold and SoulSilver are essentially remakes of Gold and Silver, which were widely hated by the Pokepurists for having new, strange Pokemon that seemed totally foreign. However, this doesn’t sting me as much in HeartGold/SoulSilver like Gold/Silver did.
There are a lot of terrifying things in the world of Pokémon. An endless stream of Zubats attacking you in a cave, Cynthia’s Garchomp, Lance’s three Dragonites…
But this?

Getting tucked into the just released Pokemon SoulSilver and HeartGold remakes? Ready for a few dozen new Pokemon to collect even though you’re nowhere near getting the currently existing 493? No? Tough, because Pokemon Black and Pokemon White are on the way.
Nintendo has just launched a teaser site for Pokemon Black and White, which appear to be the next two instalments in the every expanding obsessive-compulsive RPGs. Presumably, the games are due for release on the DS this fall, with a western release sure to follow soon after.
The teaser says to keep your eye on the site on April 15th. We’ll be sure to let know what’s revealed on the date.
Well, this is surprising. Just Cause 2 rocketed to the top of the UK sales charts this week, beating out both Pokemon games and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in the process.
Could the Pokemon franchise finally be losing steam after all these years?

Awright Pokéfans, listen up! While HeartGold and SoulSilver are still hot sellers in Japan, Nintendo has no intention of letting the series flame out. The company announced in Japan today that a new main entry in the franchise is being developed for DS.
Obviously “main entry” means the line of titles that started with simple colours and has since moved on to precious gems. The game is set for a Japanese release this year, four years after the release of Diamond & Pearl’s original Japanese release.
No details on the game was shared except hints of new Pokémon to catch, a new region and some new gameplay concepts. Details are sure to surface quickly due to the 2010 release.
Anybody want to hazzard a guess at how long the Pokémon franchise will continue? Will we be playing new Pokémon games when we’re 50?
