The latest issue of Nintendo Power reveals that a sequel to Scribblenauts is headed its way to your DS this fall.
Developer 5th Cell hinted at a sequel when they mentioned that Scribblenauts could end up on the Wii as well.
Confirmed for the sequel are 120 new and improved worlds to explore, a hint system, an improved level editor, tighter controls, and an expanded dictionary with 10,000 new words to use in the game.
Personally, I think the first game would’ve benefited greatly from tighter controls, so I hope that the sequel will deliver everything promised above and more!
Retro gamers rejoice, because Mega Man is set to make yet another return to old form. The sequel to one of the hardest games of 2008 was revealed in the latest issue of Nintendo Power and appears to be easier a bit easier than its predecessor.
Mega Man 10 will feature an Easy mode so gamers like me who can get past more than two Robot Masters. Whether this will affect level design or just the number of enemies remains to be seen.
New to the game is the ability to choose between robots from the beginning of the game. Along with Mega Man and a third unrevealed character, players will also be able to control Proto Man who can slide, charge his shots and deflect enemy attacks.
One of the new Robot Masters that has been revealed is Sheep Man, who floats around levels and yields the Thunder Wool weapon when defeated. Stages include computer, ice and lava levels.
Awesome!
Those looking forward to a radically different Zelda game for the next Wii title in the franchise, along the lines of the Wind Waker major graphical shift, are going to be sorely disappointed.
The only information we have about the next Wii Zelda game so far is this Zelda concept art from E3 2009, earlier this month.
“I don’t think it’s going to be that radically different,” Shigeru Miyamoto told Nintendo Power in their latest issue.
So there you have it, straight from the man himself.

Admit it, this is the news story you’ve been waiting your entire gaming life to hear! Thanks to the efforts of developers WayForward and publishers Majesco, the ancient classic A Boy and his Blob is being remade for the Wii.
The 1990 NES game was originally created by Pitfall! designer and all round gaming legend David Crane. The remake itself certainly looks distinctive; cute would be an understatement.

Straight from the newest edition of Nintendo Power, here’s some in-depth information on the newest addition to the Wii exclusive Storybook series, which began with Sonic and the Secret Rings:
- Animated woodcut-esque cut-scenes
- Only looks like the opening scene is in prerendered 3D
- Shadow as Sir Lancelot, Knuckles as Sir Gawain, Amy Rose as Lady of the Lake
- Shadow and Knuckles playable in multiplayer Battle mode (need to defeat them in single-player Adventure mode first)
- Battle mode: Free-for-all deathmatch or work together to defeat a big enemy as quick as possible
Speaking to Nintendo Power, Rockstar boss Dan Houser explains why the Wii wasn’t the way to go when developing a GTA game for a Nintendo platform:
“It didn’t feel natural to us, I guess. It really was that the DS felt like it had a lot of interesting challenges that would be totally different from what we’d done in the past. The stylus and the chance to use minigames in that way was really interesting and exciting to us, and we thought we could integrate seamlessly between those two modes.
“And it would be the chance to make something really good on a handheld with our handheld-focused team. That was really why we went that way. We haven’t really done any concrete, major thinking about the Wii, one way or another. They’re sort of separate issues.”
