Hitman developer IO Interactive have said to Eurogamer that from this point on, development on subsequent Hitman titles will be carried out according to a two-team cycle. Provisionally, it appears to be a similar approach to how Activision have split coding duties on the Call of Duty franchise with Infinity Ward doing an instalment one year and Tryearch doing an instalment the next. New Hitman game! Excite! IO Interactive, the developer of the old trilogy starring Agent 47, are working on a new one, with a new engine. These assassin games had you infiltrating a small but open environments, from opera houses to kids’ birthday parties, choosing between various approaches. It’s an interesting concept, that will be interesting to see with new tech and gameplay standards.
