Hitman developer IO Interactive have said to Eurogamer that from this point on, development on subsequent Hitman titles will be carried out according to a two-team cycle. Provisionally, it appears to be a similar approach to how Activision have split coding duties on the Call of Duty franchise with Infinity Ward doing an instalment one year and Tryearch doing an instalment the next. With under two weeks to go until Hitman: Absolution hits retail, publisher Square-Enix has pulled the trigger on the rather swanky looking ‘Ultimate Assassin’ launch trailer for the game. Catch it after the jump.

Killing is a messy business.  It is also, however, a varied one, as this newest trailer for the forthcoming Hitman: Absolution aims to point out. You’ll see just what I mean after the break.

A new trailer for IO Interactive‘s Hitman: Absolution is here! You can see some of the prowess that IO’s Glacier 2 graphics engine is capable of. And just look how badass Agent 47 looks.

Seemingly following on from Supergiant‘s and Bastion‘s footsteps, publisher Square Enix announced today that IO Interactive‘s 2009 title Mini Ninjas would soon be making its way onto Google Chrome, playable within the browser. An open beta is to be released soon whereupon people can check out how well a mere internet browser can handle console-grade gaming.

New Hitman game! Excite! IO Interactive, the developer of the old trilogy starring Agent 47, are working on a new one, with a new engine. These assassin games had you infiltrating a small but open environments, from opera houses to kids’ birthday parties, choosing between various approaches. It’s an interesting concept, that will be interesting to see with new tech and gameplay standards.
