I absolutely cannot wait for this. The new Guardian Heroes game is shaping up to be everything we’d hoped a new Guardian Heroes HD remake would be: sharper, smoother, with added gameplay modes and online features, but with all the core gameplay and art direction of Treasure‘s original masterpiece pretty much intact. All of which is corraborated by SEGA‘s latest trailer, which you can see after the cut.

We asked for it, and SEGA was damned quick to announce it soon afterwards. I’m talking, of course, about the re-mastered re-release of SEGA‘s famous beat-em-up Guardian Heroes for XBLA. Chris couldn’t be more excited, and neither could the rest of us. So it’s understandable the excitement level just went up. YES YES YES!!! Mere days after I pined for a new Guardian Heroes game, SEGA only go and announce just that! Today it was announced that Guardian Heroes would be re-released for Xbox Live Arcade, fully re-mastered and with all the modern trimmings you’d expect. This is literally more exciting than my upcoming wedding!
