Rumour: Will a GoldenEye remake release in November?

The N64 movie tie-in GoldenEye not only proved that video games based on films don’t always suck (though they mostly do), but also that first person shooters could work on consoles (though many of them don’t).
Since then fans of the original title have been clamouring for a remake or Virtual Console release, but numerous licensing problems have held it back. Yet now rumours stating the contrary have surfaced on the web.
According to Go Nintendo and Eurogamer, Activision is working on a GoldenEye remake to be released on the Wii and DS. Pictures of box art and a Wii Zapper like peripheral were sent to Go Nintendo, and a source at Eurogamer claims the title will be revealed at E3.
The new title will, supposedly, include a “modernized version of the classic story” with a new Bond who has the face of Daniel Craig. 4 player split-screen and 8 player online matches are also rumoured. All images can be found after the cut. Obviously these are all rumours. Eurogamer would not reveal their source and Activision had no comment to their inquiries.
XBLA release of Perfect Dark will have Goldeneye multiplayer maps and weapons
Microsoft Game Studios’ Ken Lobb that Pefect Dark’s XBLA release on March 17th will come with a bit of a bonus.
Goldeneye multiplayer levels Complex, Facility and Temple have been confirmed for Perfect Dark’s multiplayer, and Lobb told Kotaku that certain guns from the classic shooter will also be available for Perfect Dark’s multiplayer, albeit under different names for legal reasons.
Are you more excited for March 17th now? I am. :D
Rumour: GoldenEye Wii?
Am I the only one who finds it odd that game programmers/designers/whatever post their resumes on the internet? Craig Peck, a game animator, has done just that. Upon doing so he may have inadvertently revealed that a Wii version of the classic N64 title GoldenEye.
Animator – GoldenEye 2010 (Wii)
Animator on Activision’s James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii assisting in: Key frame animation, the preparation and clean-up of motion capture data, prop animation, in-game cut-scene animation, scene layout, and camera animation.
Keep in mind this is nothing more than a rumour, but this being the internet we’re allowed to massively speculate on such matters.
