The plan: choose a game neither of us have played, and start recording the moment the disc hits the tray. No rehearsals. No planning. Unadulterated, unscripted commentary as we play.
The grand return of the main G&G series is here! To mark the occasion we bring in our first guest Lunchbox to play some Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe for Xbox 360.
With our comic book fantasies and fanfics brought to life we can’t help but be giddy. Watching Superman beat the crap out of Raiden never gets old by the way. So watch as we figure out the controls, test fatalities, and have a mini tournament. To include all of this the episode is longer then the rest. So make some tea and get comfortable.
It’s Christmas already in some parts of the world, and it’s just around the corner for the rest of us. As such, the gang here at The Gaming Vault will be wrapping things up on the website until the new year.
From myself, and everyone else on staff, have a pleasant holiday season. May your next few days be full of cheer, happiness… and lots and lots of video games!
We hope you’ll join us back here in 2009, when we’ll be as active as ever. We have plenty of things planned for the start of the new year, including more additions to our extensive Dissidia: Final Fantasy guide, new instalments of our original Games ‘N’ Goblins video-cast, and a feature looking back at our favourite games of 2008.
And that’s only for the start of the year! Except much besides in the year ahead!
See you again in 2009, fellow gamers. Enjoy your holidays!

This is the first episode of Games & Goblins Gaiden, showing what went wrong with Episode 3, which was supposed to be Call of Duty: World at War. We hope you enjoy the premier of the new side series.

Imagine if you will, two friends who are former podcasters sitting at a diner sipping coffee. They reminisce about old episodes they have done, Angry Video Game Nerd , and Broken Pixels episodes. Then it dons on them. Why not start a new podcast, but this time have video?
Well that’s how simply this concept was born.
Andrew and I have always been fans of the sort of improve or less improve works online. Not taking games too seriously has always been something we excelled at. So we wanted to take that concept into this vidcast.
The plan: choose a game neither of us have played and start recording the moment the disc hits the tray. We give our commentary based on what we want to say at the moment and roll with it.
This week, in our inaugural episode, the game is Army of Two for Xbox 360.
We take our jabs at it and give our suggestions and thoughts as they come. We hope you enjoy these videos and laugh as much as we did making them. Keep an eye out each week for new episodes and ideas we try.
Most importantly of all, leave us your thoughts!
Warning: Some strong language.
