A lawsuit paddlin’. That’s right, EA is actually suing Zynga for copyright infringement, stating that Zynga’s The Ville has “copied and misappropriated the original and distinctive expressive elements” of EA’s The Sims Social.

At their Summer Showcase today, EA/Bioware confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will receive a continuation to its a single-player campaign, with the  new ‘Leviathan’ downloadable content for PC, 360 and PS3.

With little less than just eight months on the clock, EA has today confirmed that their Bioware developed Star Wars MMORPG; The Old Republic, will be embracing the increasingly hip and popular free-to-play business model. The transition will occur this fall and existing subs will be elevated to ‘premium’ status. There’s more on this after the jump.

Criterion Games, developers of some of the finest racing experiences in the history of forever, have released an ‘insider’ video on their forthcoming EA racer, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit.

With the third Battlefield 3 expansion not even out yet; Armored Kill is due for release in September, details have nonetheless trickled down the vine regarding the fourth expansion for the game; Aftermath.

In what seems to be a fairly superb day for trailerage, EA are adding to the awesome by debuting an interactive, multi-path single-player trailer for Crysis 3.

iOS titles Rock Band and Rock Band: Reloaded will both be removed from the iOS App Store on July 31st, EA has confirmed today.  Again.
