In what most people would believe is a sign of the Apocalypse, Lady Gaga is not only dominating mainstream media, but now making her way into video games. First it was LIPS, and now she’ll be appearing in a four-song DLC pack for Rock Band and Rock Band 2 on March 16th.
Not only that, we also have The Subways, Mute Math, 3 Doors Down, and the notorious Eric Cartman with his own version of “Poker Face” as seen on South Park.
Full list of releases after the cut.

Kyle here with another edition of The Music Vault!
Last time we looked at Team Teamwork’s “Vinyl Fantasy VII,” a mash-up of hip-hop lyrical stylings and the music of Final Fantasy VII.
This time, we’re gonna have a look at the just-released music on Harmonix’s latest addition to rhythm gaming – The Rock Band Network.
Take Two confirmed that Borderlands has hit the 2 million units sold mark and still climbing! Good news, because Borderlands is an awesome game and is only more awesome because of the multiplayer aspect.
Not only that, more DLC is on the way! What’s that? More DLC? After three new add-ons already?
You betcha!
If you haven’t gotten Borderlands yet, go get it! It’s a sweet game, and with The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, and Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot as add-ons, there’s plenty of hours to invest in the game.
BioWare has just announced the next piece of free DLC for Cerberus Network users, based around the awesome Hammerhead tank, which is due to hit Xbox Live and PCs in March.
The “Firewalker” DLC pack will contain five missions centred around the formidable tank (pictured above), which “hovers over the battlefield at up to 120 kilometers per hour and features a guided missile system ensuring accuracy even during aggressive maneuvering.”
So says BioWare. So it must be awesome.
Only players registered with the Cerberus Network – claimed by inputting a redeem code provided in first-hand copies of the game – will have access to the downloadable content.
SEGA announced a fourth DLC pack for Valkyria Chronicles heading your way this Thursday.
The DLC pack is titled “Challenges of the Edy Department” and includes six new maps for the strategy RPG, each one focusing on the strength of a specific class.
No price has been announced.
Randy Pitchford stated that making Borderlands was a “labor of love” for Gearbox, so upon hearing famed video game analyst Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities say the game was “sent to die,” he felt a little disheartened, but didn’t let that sway him.
Borderlands was a success, as he told Gamasutra, even with being released around the same time as Halo 3: ODST, Dragon Age, and Modern Warfare 2.
“We were sandwiched between the two biggest first-person shooter franchises ever and the guys at BioWare, who walk on water, were releasing Dragon Age around the same time,” Pitchford said. “It was tough for me, because it’s [Pachter's] job to analyze these things.”
Pitchford went on to call out Pachter by saying, ““You know what, Mike? I knew you were wrong.”
Borderlands went on to sell over 3 million copies across three platforms and became one of the best-selling intellectual properties of 2009.
Gearbox has sold over 20 million units and generated over $500 million in revenue – and that’s not including any figures from Borderlands.
Pitchford states that Borderlands is getting a third piece of DLC sometime this year to join the already available Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot. The third installment of DLC will increase the level cap and offer new challenges to players, but no date or price have been officially announced.
That’s right, you read that correctly: Rare classic Perfect Dark is hitting Xbox Live Arcade March 17th alongside three other games throughout the rest of March–Toy Soldiers, Game Room, and Scrap Metal.
And to sweeten the pot, should you buy all four games, Microsoft offers a kickback of 400 MSP and a month’s worth of Xbox Live Gold Subscription (the latter is only awarded if you’re already a Gold member)
Toy Soldiers drops first on March 3rd at 1200 MSP. We’ll see Scrap Metal on March 10th for 1200 MSP as well. Perfect Dark shows up March 17th for 800 MSP (!!) and Game Room will drop on March 24th for free, but to actually play everything, it’ll cost you 400 MSP for the dual-platform edtion.
This release of Perfect Dark sees the game re-mastered for a high-definition experience, and if you miss classic N64 shooting action as much as I do, definitely pick up this excellent shooter.
Rumours have been flying back and forth the past months about possible DLC for Final Fantasy XIII, but the game’s producer and director have finally spoken up about it.
In an interview with US PS Blog, producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Motomu Toriyama outright stated that Final Fantasy XIII is not getting DLC.
“Regarding the DLC content, we feel that the final product is 100% enjoyable…it’s the complete package. So we’re not planning any DLC at this time. In regard to the rumored cut content, we feel it was taken out of context.
There are a lot of ideas that are brought to the table, and then the team takes the best ideas out of those, and the final product is polished that way. There was content that were “ideas” that didn’t make the final content, but the team isn’t looking to release that as downloadable content.”
So there you have it, no DLC for Final Fantasy XIII.
Well, the US isn’t the only country that’s going to see the Final Fantasy XIII 360 Bundle, but European gamers who desire a new system will be happy to hear that the boxed set will be upon their shores on March 9th as well.
The special edition bundle comes in two flavors:
-120 GB console, wireless controller and a copy of the game
-250 GB hard drive, two wireless controllers, a copy of the game, two codes for downloadable Avatar items, and the console itself has “Final Fantasy XIII” engraved on it
“All You Need Is Love,” currently exclusive to the 360 version of The Beatles: Rock Band, will be making its appearance on the Wii and PS3 version of the game very soon.
For the Wii, the song will be released on February 16th, but the PS3 version won’t be getting the song until March 4th. The price for the song will be 200 Wii Points or $1.99, respectively.
Press releases indicate that downloads of the song from the XBox Live Marketplace have generated over $200,000 for Doctors Without Borders, and the donations will continue on both the Wii and PS3 platforms.
Harmonix has announced that Megadeth’s 1990 album “Rust In Peace” will be available as downloadable content for Rock Band and Rock Band 2 come February 9th for the 360 and February 11th for the PS3 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the thrash metal masterpiece.
Megadeth mastermind Dave Mustaine had this to say about the upcoming release: “This record is one of my favorites from my catalogue, and you will see the twists and turns that make Rust In Peace the quintessential Thrashterpiece that it is!”
Rockstar Games have announced that “Episodes from Liberty City” will be released for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows® – LIVE on March 30, 2010.
While there has been much debate on whether the exclusive episodes were constrained to a time space or indefinetly, we now know the answer to that one.
The Battle of Forli, Assassin’s Creed II’s first piece of DLC, was released today on Xbox Live Marketplace and the PS Store.
The Battle of Forli is one of the missing sequences from the end of Assassin’s Creed II. As the name suggests, Ezio returns to Forli, the second city visited in the game where we all did fuck all the first time around except learn how to pilot a boat.
Within Forli Ezio will be joining Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza to defend the city from the Orsi brothers, not to mention preventing a Piece of Eden from falling into Templar hands. The sequence adds six new memories, one in which you will once again pilot Da Vinci’s flying machine.
The second sequence, Bonfire of the Vanities, releases next month, but no official date has been given. The DLC sequences will not have Trophies or Achievements, as confirmed by PS3Trophies.
Saying people are excited about Final Fantasy XIII would probably be an understatement. And it looks like players might have more content to enjoy on top of the 50+ hour experience when the game hits down in March, according to producer Yoshinori Kitase.
“At first we had plans to release the game simultaneously worldwide, so we had the intention to deliver identical version between the regions. When we noticed that we wouldn’t make it, we decided to release the game as fast as possible in the west after its release in Japan,” said Kitase.
“We initially had doubts to add extra content to the western version but then it would have taken the international version more months of delay. We did prepare a DLC but it will arrive a little later in the west.”
The accessible availability of DLC makes re-releases of RPG a little redundant, doesn’t it? It should be worth keeping an eye on what they release.

Ubisoft confirmed the date for the first of it’s two DLC’s for Assassin’s Creed II. The first DLC, titled Battle of Forli, is set to release January 28th and sell for 320 MS Points (360) or $3.99 (PS3).
The second DLC, Bonfire of the Vanities, has not yet been set for a release date, but has been confirmed to sell for $4.99.
Each DLC is also set to take up about 1GB of space inside the Xbox HD. Clean yourselves some room. They’re going to be big.
