Bill, Zoey, Francis, Louis. We’ve laughed together. We’ve cried together. We’ve ran like little girls from Witches and Tanks together. But now Valve is going to let us pick which one of you gets to become zombie chow.
Seems like Activision have cut loose the full force of upcoming rhythm game Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, and I have to admit, even I’m a little impressed by it. Anthrax, Megadeth, Muse, Rush and more after the cut!
Well, if you weren’t already excited for keyboards, vocal harmonies, new instruments, a beautiful new interface, and all the other extravagant goodies coming forth in Harmonix’s magnum opus, Rock Band 3, you’ll be happy to know that they aren’t quite done.
Some new features have just been revealed and these things are called “Road Challenges.” Be prepared to ramp it up to 11 after the cut!
In what may be an attempt to divert attention from the Duke Nukem rumor, or just trying to clarify the info people dug up earlier, Gearbox have officially announced the next Borderlands DLC, called Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution.
As you may guess, the main enemy will be the otherwise charming robots, including the “Ninja Assassin” Claptrap hidden in the end-game. The press release promises new enemies, new loot and new skill points.
The add-on will be out in September, on all platforms.
Activision has unveiled a UK release date for the latest installment of Guitar Hero, Warriors of Rock. You’ll see it in the UK on September 24th, and as we already know, there’s a US release date of September 28th.
So, wait. You’re telling me that Sony is just now getting the idea that it’s summer? And we’re technically on the last month? And school starts for a bunch of people next week or the week after?! Come on, guys! Seriously?
Well, I can’t say I’m one to look a gift horse in the mouth, because these are some pretty dang good deals. Check them out after the cut.
Southern rockers, rejoice! Creedence Clearwater Revival are getting a proper selection of songs for the Rock Band series come Tuesday, July 6th. Twelve songs, no less!
And I mean real southern rock. None of that “my wife took my truck and ran over my dog” bull.
Track list under the cut.
If you’ve been waiting to get some Rock Band/Guitar Hero/LIPS songs for your Xbox 360, maybe complaining about how pricey some of the individual songs or packs are, I think that this is the perfect news for you.
Come July 6th, Microsoft and Xbox Live are bringing you the very first LIVEapalooza! That, to you, means that a ton of downloadable content is getting discounted from the 6th to the 12th.
Full list after the cut!
That’s right, you read that correctly. The Prince of Darkness himself is finally making his way to the greatest music game available on June 15th for the Wii and 360 and June 17th for the PS3.
Well, I have to say, I’m well behind on my Rock Band updates, but this is one I have to mention.
Legendary groove metal band Pantera are making their debut in the Rock Band series with their 1996 album The Great Southern Trendkill.

Capcom held their annual press event this weekend, flying selected members of the gaming press out to Hawaii, and we here at The Gaming Vault were lucky enough to stay home and read about it when bigger, more popular bloggers twittered about it.
But while we didn’t get to witness the announcements first hand, we still get to bring all the latest news from Capcom to our readers!

Next week on 4/20, Harmonix is bringing you some awesome songs to Rock Band and Rock Band 2. If you couldn’t tell by the banner, this upcoming week means more Coheed and Cambria for the game (their first pack, actually), but alongside C&C, we’re seeing another track from Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Violent Femmes’ first track in the series, and a Supergrass song–a band previously available only in LEGO Rock Band.

Considering the recent legal issues between GameStop and customer James Collins, who is currently suing the retailer over supposedly deceptive DLC with second hand games, retailer GAME is apparently playing it safe and has started putting warning stickers on pre-owned games regarding the lack of free DLC with second hand titles.
“We have been developing a policy for notifying customers at the point of purchase which was implemented last week in-store,” a GAME spokesperson told MCV.
“Pre-owned copies of applicable titles have stickers on them saying ‘check with staff for availability of downloadable content’, giving staff the chance to explain clearly the difference so that our customers understand the benefits of buying both pre-owned and mint.”
The observant gamer will note that most games that fall under this category already have adequate warnings on their boxes regarding DLC codes that come with the game. Apparently, this is not enough.
