The BBC announced today a new series of episodic Doctor Who video games for PC and Mac. They’ll be free, even, isn’t that awesome?
Doctor Who: The Adventure Games will be executive produced by current showrunner Steven Moffat, and developed by Sumo Digital and Charles Cecil, one of the biggest names in adventure gaming.
Those hoping for David Tennant’s version of The Doctor appearing will be disappointed, however, as the games are adaptations of the current season. Matt Smith, the current Doctor, and Karen Gillian, companion Amy Pond, will be digitally recreated in-game and provide the voices for their respective characters. Unfortunately they seem to be occupying the uncanny valley at this point, which you can see from the screens below.
And let the record state, that I. Fucking. Called it! Boo-yah!
