Capcom has just announced the final character in the Super Street Fighter IV line-up, a new character by the name of Hakan.
Lets just say he’s… different, and leave it at that.
The video is under the cut, if you’re willing to take the dive.
The Ace Attorney series proved to western shores in 2005 that a game in which you play as a lawyer could be not only fun, but downright awesome at times. Sure it had a tendency to be silly and extremely over the top, but snappy writing and simple and intuitive gameplay made the original game a joy to play. Sequels followed almost yearly, culminating in this year’s instalment: Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.
Capcom today informed gamers that they should mark a certain month on their calendars, as the company intends to make a “huge announcement” in April.
John Diamonon let gamers know on the US PlayStation Blog about the price cut to Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the PlayStation Store, and let this little tid-bit of information out at the end of the article
“I’ll be back in April for a huge announcement. Stay tuned and let the speculation begin!”
My money is on a Devil May Cry 5 reveal. It’s well overdue at this point.
Capcom announced that MotoGP 09/10 will be released to North American consumers on March 16th, slightly preceding the European date of March 19th.
In addition, players will also be able to download all the 2010 season content, including the new tracks, team updates, and new bike classes for free fairly soon after launch.
I for one am a huge fan of the Ace Attorney series, which puts a legal spin on a traditional graphic adventure game formula. It’s also incredibly fun to scream “OBJECTION!” into your DS’ microphone whenever you present evidence.
The next entry into the series, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is set to launch about right now, and so a launch trailer has hit the internets. This new entry puts you into the purple suit of Miles Edgeworth, Ace Prosecutor, as you search for clues and uncover murder mysteries in a new third-person setting. And yes, you can still shout “OBJECTION!” and “HOLD IT!” at the top of your lungs.
Capcom has just released its spring line-up for 2010. It’s short, but it’s definitely sweet.
We can expect to see Monster Hunter Tri, Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV, and the Final Fight double pack.
That’s a nice selection to fill out our games collections nice and early in, and empty our wallets pretty quickly too.
It seems the Wii is slowly losing support from it’s third party developers. Recently SEGA announced they probably wouldn’t develop any more “mature, hardcore” titles for the system, and now Capcom has decided to shift their focus away from the WIi.
According to Capcom France head honcho Antoine Seux, “gamers’ games” aren’t selling on the Wii. In an interview with French site GameKult.com, Seux reveals the newly released Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles only sold 16,000 copies in its first three weeks, lower than the company had hoped for.

Capcom’s just confirmed the demo of upcoming Dark Void will be released tomorrow (January 6) on Xbox Live, with the PSN version to be released on Thursday.
Dark Void’s story centers around a pilot named William who’s teleported into a parallel universe where humans are battling aliens called Watchers. With the help of Nikola Tesla, William acquires a jetpack for some high-flying adventures.
According to the press release, the demo will allow gamers to explore the “miraculous world of Dark Void” through aerial dog-fights and on-foot combat while experiencing the new vertical cover system. Dark Void certainly seems promising, and I can’t wait to strap on that jetpack and take to the skies.
Retro gamers rejoice, because Mega Man is set to make yet another return to old form. The sequel to one of the hardest games of 2008 was revealed in the latest issue of Nintendo Power and appears to be easier a bit easier than its predecessor.
Mega Man 10 will feature an Easy mode so gamers like me who can get past more than two Robot Masters. Whether this will affect level design or just the number of enemies remains to be seen.
New to the game is the ability to choose between robots from the beginning of the game. Along with Mega Man and a third unrevealed character, players will also be able to control Proto Man who can slide, charge his shots and deflect enemy attacks.
One of the new Robot Masters that has been revealed is Sheep Man, who floats around levels and yields the Thunder Wool weapon when defeated. Stages include computer, ice and lava levels.
Awesome!
Capcom has just released a new trailer for the upcoming DS game Okamiden: Chisaki Taiyou. Okamiden is the sequel to the beautiful PS2 game Okami. The trailer looks incredible, despite the downgraded visuals.
kamiden stars Chibiterasu, a celestial wolf who bears a resemblance to Amaterasu, the protagonist of Okami. The celestial brush makes a triumphant return to solve puzzles and fight enemies.
The game takes place three months after the events of Okami. Demons have returned to Nippon and it’s up to Chibiterasu to stop them. It’s speculated that Chibiterasu is Amaterasu’s son, retaining Amaterasu’s abilities, but lacks her power.
Give it a peek after the cut.
As you may recall, Adon, Cody and Guy were confirmed for Super Street Fighter IV in Famitsu recently, and now we have a video showing off the characters in all their HD, 3D glory.
Fans will no doubt be impressed with how well these characters’ moves have been translated to Street Fighter IV. As an avid Adon and Guy player myself, I’m especially impressed with what they’ve done with these two characters.
Check out the trailer for yourself, after the cut.
This one is sure to please the Street Fighter fans. Famitsu has just announced Adon, along with Final Fight’s Cody and Guy (looking like they did in Street Fighter Alpha 3) as playable characters in Super Street Fighter IV.
The scans from Famitsu show the characters in their Street Fighter IV interpretation. and they’re extremely faithful to their original designed, but updated for the HD generation.
Check them out below.
Capcom is continuing their recap of the Resident Evil series with Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, the sequel successful rail shooter The Umbrella Chronicles. The Darkside Chronicles focuses on RE2 and RE: Code Veronica.
A new trailer for Darkside Chronicles was released today showing off lots of familiar faces and monsters, as well as two new characters named Javier and Manuela. The game looks awesome and if you’re excited about this title you owe it to yourself to check out the video below.
According to a story on Siliconera, Super Street Fighter IV will be cranking up the nostalgia. The car smashing and barrel breaking bonus stages from Street Fighter II are making a triumphant return. This is revealed in a scan from Famitsu magazine.
Famitsu could also reveal details about SSFIV’s online modes. New options will include Team Battles, supporting 2 on 2 and 4 on 4, and a Replay Channel. The matches themselves are still one on one, but Team mode will allow clans to meet up and get a common score.
Capcom has also added Endless Mode, which lets eight players meet up and fight.
One word people: Awesome!
Capcom has just officially announced Super Street Fighter IV, an upgraded version of the existing game with a plethora of new characters and features.
The game will release as a stand-alone disc; this will not be DLC. The good news? It won’t be selling at full price, a good move on Capcom’s part which gives a strong incentive for existing owners of Street Fighter IV to pick up this improved edition of the game.
The game will include include eight characters (although this has yet to be finalised), including classic characters T. Hawk and Dee Jay, and new characters Juri. Who the other five characters will turn out to be is anyone’s guess, but fan favourites from Street Fighter Alpha (and at least one character from Street Fighter III) is a safe guess.
As long as they balance the game so that Sagat and Ken are no longer so over-powered as to be the only characters picked by 99.99% of the player-base, I’ll be happy.
The game is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 next spring. Excited?
