At long last the house that Halo built and former Microsoft first-party developer Bungie, have just now officially revealed their first post-Halo IP – the massively sprawling, cross-generational, social media focused epic shooter that is Destiny. Better yet, they’ve officially unveiled it with a bunch of moving pictures (in the form a snazzy Vidoc) that we have for you after the break. Take a look!
If a placeholder on French retailer Micromania is to believed, then Bungie‘s Destiny is supposed to arrive in October 6th. The October 6th date is interesting given the fact that during their conference calls, Acti-Blizz execs cast doubt on the game even making it onto the shelves this year. Apparently encompassing a “unique scenario in a connected world, full of action and adventure,” Bungie’s next opus is thought to be a [...]
It’s still weeks out from Valentine’s Day, but Bungie already decided to show some serious love to a young man who received a very serious liver transplant. Reddit user fiscal_ reached out on the community boards asking about some contact info for the minds behind the original Halo bits. The conscientious dad though his boy could use some cheering up with someone from one of his favorite games, and Bungie [...]

Bungie and Activision have confirmed that their new multi-format, console-generation spanning IP, Destiny, will be the hot topic of a developer session at the San Francisco conference. According to the guys at Bungie themselves. we shouldn’t expect to hear anything from their much hyped Activision-published game, codenamed “Destiny“, at this year’s E3.
Alex Seropian, creator of Halo and co-founder of Bungie, has started a new company with former Dreamworks R&D manager Brent Pease. There’s no upcoming projects listed for the new company, Industrial Toys, but their mission is to create “mobile games for core gamers.” You can follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Speaking to Official Xbox Magazine UK, Spencer points to the last two Halo titles, Reach and ODST, as only being accessible to people who were already fans of the sci-fi shooter series. Which sort of makes sense. ODST was, essentially, an expansion pack for Halo 3 in disguise, and the narrative straddled the events of [...]
