DICE has announced their nominations for the 2013 awards in 26 categories ranging from Game of the Year to Outstanding Achievement in Gameplay Engineering. ThatGameCompany’s stellar contribution to the gaming world, Journey, is up for 11 nominations, while TellTale’s Walking Dead is nominated for eight and Borderlands 2 netted five. I’ll make this short and sweet. Borderlands 2 won G4′s Video Game Deathmatch 2012. In fact, with G4 dissolving shortly, I guess it’s the final winner of G4′s Video Game Deathmatch period! So Gearbox was pretty stoked about their wins on last nights Spike TV’s Video Game Awards. Claptrap won for best character, which was pretty neat.  And the voice actor for Handsome Jack won for best performance by a human male, which is a really bizarre category. Anyway, congrats to them even though no one cares or watches the Spike VGAs except for companies that have been nominated for Spike VGAs. [...]
