Tim Schafer, mastermind behind such games as Psychonauts and Brutal Legend, turned 20-years-old in the games industry today. As such, Tim has lovingly shared his rejection letters from Atari and Hewlett-Packard from back in the day, as well as showed us his correspondence with LucasFilm.

Oh, the days of our ventures in Red, Blue and Yellow where rumors were abound that we could get the ever-so-secret 151st Pokémon using Surf and subsequently Strength on a truck in the middle of nowhere. Such was an excellently crafted gag by Game Freak’s Shigeki Morimoto.

Happy birthday, PS2! Ten years ago today, Sony launched the PlayStation 2 in Japan. The console launched on October 26 and November 24 respectively in the same year. Since then the PS2 has become the best-selling console of al time, selling over 140 million units. The best selling PS2 game of all time ended up being Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Remember Elite? One of the most critically acclaimed video games of all time? Well, this week is its birthday, and to celebrate, Frontier have launched a website in honour of the legendary franchise.
