Nano Assault is an upcoming micro-ship shooter from Majesco that sees you as a powerful Nanite ship out to destroy the Nanostray virus from contaminating all of civilization. This fast-paced shooter for the Nintendo 3DS is developed by Shin’en and will employ glorious 3D to give you an eyeful of microscopic proportions. Sony executives and a handful of developers came together for a group panel at Gamescom to discuss what the next 10 years holds for games, consoles and technology. Included was Kellee Santiago of Thatgamecompany, Mark Cerny who’s worked for Sony, and Gareth Edmondson of Ubisoft’s Reflection Studios to discuss design and gameplay as well as technical specs for the console’s future.

We here at The Gaming Vault are anxiously awaiting the re-release of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus coming for the PS3. Both games are considered classics and are long due for a graphical overhaul. A Japanese promo video comparing the old PS2 footage to the remastered PS3 footage was recently posted on Giantbomb.com. And in motion the games look absolutely gorgeous! Check it out after the cut.

At E3 this year, Sony announced they would be pushing through with 3D enabled games, and 3D enabled TVs. And apparently we’re all fine with that. A survey from the U-Decide Initiative has recently discovered that most gamers don’t really care about having to wear 3D glasses to play games.
