Back in August 2010 Square Enix announced a new over-the-top shooter by the name of Gun Loco. And I hated the entire concept from the moment I saw the trailer. But now it’s been cancelled, according to Siliconera! And thank fuck for that! If the trailer was anything to go by, the final product would have been awful. No reason was given for the cancellation, but my theory is that the [...]

In the lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3 later this year, BioWare has posted a teaser for Mass Effect 2′s final bit of DLC, “Arrival”. It in, we see Commander Sheppard waiting at a lift, presumably for someone or something to “arrive”. The countdown above the lift indicates that this will occur in 2 days 3 hours 25 minutes 26 seconds. So whatever it is, expect it [...]

So the first Battlefield 3 gameplay trailer was pretty awesome, wasn’t it? The latest gameplay trailer to be released by DICE isn’t half bad either. In this one, we get to see what happens when a group of soldiers get pinned on the top of a building down by a sniper, and their rather… improvised solution to taking them out. Check it out after the cut.

We’re all eagerly anticipating the upcoming Batman: Arkham City, and we’re painfully counting down the days until we once again can take control of the goddamn Batman again and beat the crap out of some thugs in Gotham City. And according to the trailer that hit the net earlier, Batman is going to have some new tricks up his cowl. Batman can be seen swooping down towards street level, only [...]

Konami has released a teaser trailer for the first Castlevania: Lords of Shadow DLC “Reverie“, which now has a March 30th release date according to VG 24/7. That’s most likely the European release dates, although I suspect the U.S. will get them the same week (March 29th for U.S. PSN, and March 30th for U.S. XBL). The trailer unfortunately doesn’t show any gameplay, but it’s more of that wicked moving [...]

Since the official announcement of Diablo III by Blizzard, the Schaefer brothers, creators of the original Diablo games, have founded a company, released a critically acclaimed game, announced a sequel and an MMO version, and ported the game to Xbox Live Arcade. Now the Xbox version is here, and we have taken a look if it holds up to the original PC version.

At this point, unless you’ve become addicted to Dance Central, most Kinect owners might be beginning to wonder if that slick black device was worth it. Luckily the answer to that question will change from “mmm maybe” to “oh hell yes!” on June 14th, when the Ubisoft published Child of Eden lands on the Xbox 360.

Fresh from PAX East comes a whopping 10+ minute gameplay trailer for the new FuelCell Games XBLA game Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Still no release date, but the trailer’s quite impressive looking, and it looks like it could be close to finally being finished. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this is one of the entries in the XBLA’s annual “Summer of Arcade“.

Here’s something for those of us not lucky enough to be at PAX East this weekend to be happy about. While everyone in Boston is busy nursing pre-PAX party hangovers, we’ve learned that Batman: Arkham City has gotten official release dates for multiple regions.

Microsoft’s Kinect peripheral has been named the ‘fastest selling consumer device’ by the Guiness Book of World Records according to a BBC News story – a title previously (albeit briefly) held by Apple’s iPad. 10 million of the HAL 9000 forerunners controller-free gaming devices have now been sold worldwide in the four months since launch. This compares with around 15 million iPads sold over eight months – only half as [...]
