For some reasons people didn’t really take to Rock Band 3. It sold moderately well despite rave reviews all around, but those sales apparently weren’t good enough for Viacom who decided to sell the developer. Rock Band 3 was the music game genre’s last hurrah, it would seem.
It has now come to light that Harmonix was sold to investment group Columbus Nova for the low, low price of $49.99, less than the price of a recently launched video game.
Game Informer recently published a fairly comprehensive release schedule for the major titles being released across all formats in the next 12 months.

Update: Wow! Looks like a lot of stuff went really fast! I personally missed out on Monster Hunter Tri and Transformers: War for Cybertron on the cheap, but there’s still plenty of games available on several platforms! This sale may be until January 3rd, but the game you want may not be there!
