Pokemon Black & White sells over 5 million in Japan

Japanese publisher Enterbrain and Media-Create have announced today that that Pokémon Black and White have sold over 5 million combined units in Japan.

The latest instalments in the long running RPG franchise was released in Japan last September, and now ranks as the fastest selling game to ever hit the format. This is one franchise that clearly isn’t going to lose any consumer interest any time soon, that’s for sure.

Pokemon Black and White is currently due for release in Europe on March 4th and March 6th in North America.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? This trailer makes neither heads nor tails about what upcoming Atlus title Catherine is about, but what it does do is induce confusion.

Much, much confusion. It’s all in Japanese, but do try to enjoy.
