The Nintendo 3DS launched across most of Europe today, but Nintendo hasn’t been resting on its laurels just because of that. Nintendo has already released an online update for the system, showcasing its way with 3D video!
The system is no more than a 90 second video of some nature scenes, but it really shows off what the 3DS can do with 3D video. It’s quite good. If you own a 3DS, we suggest you check it out.
You might be wondering just why a Rock Band 3 news post would have Guitar Hero for a banner. Well, savvy rhythm players might recognize that chart as the oh-god-please-don’t-make-me-play-that hardest song to ever be featured in a Guitar Hero game, DragonForce’s “Through The Fire And The Flames.” Why is that there, you ask?
Well, alongside Jefferson Airplane, Santana, and Blood, Sweat & Tears, the mighty DragonForce will be making their Rock Band debut! And “Through The Fire And The Flames” even has a PRO Guitar/Bass upgrades.

With the unexpected announcement of River City Ransom 2, Miracle Kidz kept mum about which console would see the very welcome sequel.
That said, they’ve announced it as a WiiWare title, so make sure to have some Wii Points ready when this sequel drops this summer!

Check out this fantastic, if not a wee bit sentimental video compilation by Rob Beschizza of BoingBoing showing off the wide range of deaths players can experience in the world of 8-bit and 16-bit gaming. I think I almost shed a tear on a number of these clips, mostly because it brought back a lot of nostalgia when I was in the arcade and using up the last credit in my pocket only to be decimated by some lowly pawn.
C’mon, CNN, really? You’re really putting this guy’s opinion out there as some sort of basis of review? Apparently so, because this “hardcore gamer” who “grew up on Halo” (which would make him 9-years-old right now, thereabouts) is the number one person to review the Nintendo 3DS.

Remember that “live” Pokémon trailer that made its way around the internet a while back? There is, of course, the whole thing, but it seems the creators of that trailer, Genesis Matrix, no longer wish to battle their Pokémon and instead stop all the fussin’ and the feudin’.
And apparently Gearbox is all out of gum. Yep, that’s right. Duke Nukem Forever has been DELAYED. Originally set for a May release date, everyone can hail to the king on June 10th now, and June 14th internationally.

Joystiq picked up a report from Aussie Nintendo regarding the minor censoring of the American box art upcoming Dead or Alive Dimensions for the 3DS. The comparison images can be found after the break.
Today Ubisoft confirmed that the Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy and Prince of Persia HD Trilogy have been delayed. The PS3 Blu-Ray version of the Prince of Persia HD Trilogy was scheduled to come out Tuesday, March 22nd (the PSN version of the Trilogy is already available). Both the Blu-Ray and PSN versions of the Splinter Cell Classic Trilogy were also scheduled for a March 22nd release.
