Having recently passed away from a heart attack, Robin Sachs is most recently known for his work in the Mass Effect series, having portrayed mercenary hero Zaeed Massasni.
In homage to the English voice actor with a substantial body of work, this weekend’s challenge for Mass Effect 3 is dubbed Operation: TRIBUTE wherein you have to acquire 50,000 points using the M-8 Avenger and 50,000 points using Inferno Grenade. Latter one sound familiar?

Let me apologize up front for the brevity of this week’s eShop update. I had some needles shoved into my back today and the less I sit at my desk, the better. Let’s get on with the info so I can get on with laying on the couch crying in pain like the little girl I am.
Wii U eShop update for 2/21
- F-Zero (SNES Virtual Console) – $0.30 – This month’s Famicom Anniversary release. Get F-Zero for only 30 cents for the next 30 days. Get it quick!
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (DEMO) – Demo the Wii U version of the game a month before release.
- Trine 2: Director’s Cut (DEMO) – Get a demo of the game that’s been on the system since launch day. Timely.
Nintendo 3DS eShop update for 2/21
- Yoshi (NES Virtual Console) – $4.99 – Yoshi puzzle game that isn’t Yoshi’s Cookie. I wish it was Yoshi’s Cookie.
- Picdun 2: Witch’s Curse – $4.99 – A 3D dungeon crawling first person RPG that isn’t Etrian Odyssey IV.
- Viking Invasion 2: Tower Defense – $7.99 – Viking themed Tower Defense action. Surprising, I know.
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (DEMO) – Demo the 3DS version along with the previously mentioned Wii U version.
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (DEMO) – Demo the game that’s on every other system on the planet if you don’t already own it. It’s fun. Demo it.

Zelda fans have something to be happy about today as Nintendo have confirmed that the Capcom developed Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages titles, will be headed to the Japanese eShop next week.
Price-wise, the games are tipped to cost 600 yen each (about £4.20/$5.50), but to lighten the sting for folks planning to buy both of the Game Boy Color classic RPG‘s (they are interconnected after all), there will be an introductory offer to purchase both for 1000 yen (about £7/just over $9).
While Japanese release details have been confirmed, Western release details have yet to be hammered out.
We’ll hear something soon though I’m sure. Stay tuned!
In the wake of last night’s Playstation 4 reveal, CD Projekt Red has said that the PlayStation 4 will be the recipient of a Witcher title, as the developer has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release for the console sometime next year.
Additionally, the developer has said that the threequel will not only launch on the Playstation 4 next year, but will also launch simultaneously on the next-generation Xbox format as well.
We’ve got more on this after the cut.

Yes, you read right; some DLC has miraculously appeared for Mossmouth‘s excellent Spelunky on XBLA with no warning or build up.
Two new DLC packs a re available for 160 of your Microsoft Points.
First up is the Explorers DLC pack which simply gives you eight new explorers to send to their doom in the adventure or deathmatch modes. The new faces include the Golden Monk, the Robot, the Viking, the Round Girl, the Cyclops, the Ninja, the Round Boy(?) and the Eskimo.
The other DLC pack for the game, simply titled ‘Arenas’ does what it says on the tin pretty much; adding some 24 shiny new arenas to the deathmatch mode map rotation.
Get stuck in.
In dispelling the biggest (and quite possibly nastiest) of rumours surrounding their fourth generation Playstation, Sony confirmed to Eurogamer that their latest and greatest home console will in fact play second-hand used games.
Right up until last night’s reveal of the machine, it had been postulated by many rumour outlets that Sony intended to lock use of games to a single console through a patented technology that they sought to implement.
As it turns out, the patent has nothing to do with the PS4 and thusly, brick and mortar retail can collectively breathe a sigh of release.
Hopefully Microsoft follow in Sony’s lead; eschewing the thought of implementing such a silly bit of restrictive technology.
The PlayStation Vita remake of Persona 4, Persona 4 Golden, is now available on Europe’s PlayStation Network. A physical retail version of the title will be available later this week on February 22nd.
Europeans, please enjoy this excellent revision of an already superb game. Go! Go on! Do it!
You know Kingdom Hearts X, that rumored Kingdom Hearts title that was supposed to be a free-to-play browser-based affair? Well, what would you know, it turned out to be an actual thing after all.
Officially confirmed by Square-Enix, the PC browser-based title is a free to play card battler which is unsurprisingly heavily stuffed with microtransactions.
There are however, a number of incentives in place and chief among these is if you pre-order the rather swanky looking Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, you’ll come away with some neat in-game goodies such as a Sora (R+) card, 20,000 munny and 4,000 card draw points. Additionally, if you order the game from the Square Enix store directly you’ll also obtain a Riku (R+) card, 10 potions, and 10 ethers for your troubles.
The only problem right now, other than the distinct possibility that you despise these sorts of cash-in browser-based riffs of revered IP with the sort of genocidal rage that would cause the planet to swallow itself up in morbid fear, is that the game is only confirmed for release in Japan right now.
Take that as a blessing or as a curse folks; I know which category I fall under.
Along with a few other new tidbits for Devil May Cry, Capcom announced today that the first DLC, Vergil’s Downfall will be available March 5th for PS3 and the 6th for Xbox 360.
There’s also a free title update and a new gameplay style called Bloody Palace Mode, which are both available today for free. Additionally there’s some new weapons available today, not free unfortunately, but there’s 3 cool options: Golden which turns his weapons shiny gold, Samurai which turns them into samurai style weapons and bone which obviously turns them into bones.
