For those of you who enjoyed 2011′s Deus Ex: Human Revolution (and that should be bloody all of you because it was the mutts clangers), it looks like a sequel might be on the way after Willaims Powell, the trademark attorney’s of Square-Enix, filed a trademark application for something called Deus Ex: Human Defiance.

While Square-Enix has yet to make any sort of announcement pertaining to a new entry in the critically acclaimed sci-fi adventure series, the company has been collaborating with CBS Films and director Scott Derrickson to produce a live action motion picture based on the franchise.

As far as the Human Defiance trademark goes, it could literally be anything at this point; a full blown core entry in the franchise or some sort of mobile spin-off.

Whatever it ends up being, watch this space and we’ll bring you all the details.

Vita sales are still poor, the amount of games being produced for it is tanking, but at least one indie game is actually doing better on the Vita than on Steam and Xbox Live. Retro City Rampage has apparently been most successful on the Vita according to developer Brian Provinciano.

It’s not only sold more copies on PSN, but because of PS+ making the game free for a month, there’s way more copies of it out there on Playstation than on any other device. Interesting news, maybe indie games have more of a future on this handheld than on other consoles.

Blizzard appear to be doing their usual awesome thing and have released a new CG-tacular trailer for the forthcoming second entry in the StarCraft II series titled, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.

This latest ‘Vengeance’ trailer gives us an insight into one of the pivotal characters of the game; one Sarah Kerrigan and also provides yet more indisputable proof that the house that World of Warcraft built, should really be in the business of making full length CG features.

Today for the low low cost of a free 4.8 GB download you can play Uncharted 3‘s multiplayer component. Naughty Dog has detailed exactly what paying will get you because you will be locked to level 15. Being locked to level 15 however does not preclude you from playing the game once you hit the rank, you can play as much as you want, you just can’t unlock perks and weapons available to characters after level 15. The only portion that is 100% free is the competitive aspect, the co-op and split screen options are pay gated away, as is the single player experience.

It feels as if it hasn’t been very long since we had another Assassins Creed, today a screen and some promotional details have surfaced for the next iteration of one of the current generations popular franchises, titled Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag.

Nicholas Gigante of examiner.com has a few details about the title. The lead character is the father of Assassins Creed 3 villain Haytham Kenway, named Edward Kenway. Kenway is alleged to be a privateer, part time assassin, and pirate.  It is rumored to be set in the Caribbean on the islands of Jamaica and Cuba among others. This would come as no surprise to Assassins Creed 3 players, who no doubt sailed the Caribbean in a series of side missions.

It is also said that Black Flag will be a cross generation title, launching on PS3, 360 and Wii U, but also Playstation 4 and presumably the next Xbox.

We can be certain that we will have more info tomorrow, when Ubisoft plans to host an Assassins Creed event, stay tuned.

In addition to game details EA theorized that next gen machines will be about “eight to ten times the power of current gen consoles.” It was also implied that Microsoft and Sony would be launching their consoles very close together.

If you haven’t watched any of the Clueless Gamer reviews from Conan O’Brien, whether on his tv show CONAN or scattered somewhere around the internet, you’ve been missing out. Conan, a non-gamer in every way, has gone on to play and review games like Skyrim, Halo 4, and Kinect Star Wars to usually hilarious results.

His latest episode, which debuted yesterday, shows Conan reviewing the new Tomb Raider game. Whether it’s Conan declaring her name is Laura instead of Lara, acting as pervy as possible, or experiencing our heroine get a branch shoved through her trachea repeatedly, I’ll go on a limb and say that it’s easily the best episode of Clueless Gamer yet.

Anyways, get the video after the jump and then hit up the Team Coco website for more episodes of Clueless Gamer.

After originally only being slated for release in Canada last year, Nintendo have confirmed that the Wii Mini will release on March 22nd in the United Kingdom with a price yet to be determined.

Unveiled last year with a new design (it looks like a lidded cat litter tray) and no internet functionality, Nintendo is obviously hoping that there is a group of folks somewhere who hasn’t owned one of these things yet.

North American release details have yet to be divulged at this point.
