After Japanese publication Shonen Jump leaked the existence of Final Fantasy X-2 HD on both PS3 and PS Vita, Sony have now gone and made an announcement confirming not only the leak, but also that both games will launch this year worldwide. Also, to top everything off, we have some gorgeous, high-resolution veneered screenies for you to take a look at after the break.
Sony have just unveiled the Playstation Plus update that European games can expect to see in April, and, well, its a complete knock out. Kicking things off in April, PS3 gamers can get the breathtaking Okami HD for absolutely zilch. Capcom’s HD opus is also flanked by Tolkien themed hack and slasher Lord of the Rings: War in the North and quirky Ron Gilbert puzzler The Cave on the same day. [...]
Originally beginning as a 2ch rumour, the latest issue of Japanese magazine Jump has confirmed that not only does Final Fantasy X-2 HD exist, but that it will be included on the same disc of the PS3 version of Final Fantasy X HD. Vita owners will have to purchase Final Fantasy X-2 HD separately. The magazine also goes on to claim that the HD versions of both games will release [...]
Looks like PS Plus members are getting two freebies this week. Nice treat considering today is my motherflippin birthday! Boo yeah! Would’ve been happier with Disgaea, but maybe next week… Anyways, freebies this week are The Cave on PS3 and Tekken 6 for PSP. The Cave is the newest game from Ron Gilbert and Double Fine Productions which sees seven adventures explore something. Might be a mine or a or [...]
Apologies for the late and brief update this week, but I’m balls deep in boxes from moving and I just barely squeaked out the time to scribble this little post while stealing my neighbor’s internet. This week’s PS Plus freebie is Joe Danger 2: The Movie for the PS3. To go along with that freebie, you can get yourself a discount on the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Ultimate Edition, [...]
It’s a new month and Sony is changing up how they are going to handle their PS Plus announcements. Like Europe does, they’re going to announce all the big freebies set to hit this month. Unlike Europe, they aren’t actually telling us when they’re hitting, just that they are arriving sometime this month. This week’s freebie arrival, however, is known to be Spec Ops: The Line for the PS3. Later [...]
At this year’s PAX East event in Boston, which is scheduled to run from March 22nd to March 24th, Capcom has been dropping hints that they will announce two, never-before-seen games at the event. The publisher is set to announce the two new games at their “World of Capcom” panel which will take place on Friday, March 22nd in the Exhibition Center’s Pheonix Room. Rival Schools 3 and Resident Evil [...]
It’ll soon be time for the industry vultures to have a second go at stripping the meat off the bones of THQ, as the administrators for the company have confirmed that the former publisher will attempt to sell off all of its remaining IP at a court-supervised auction on April 1st. The IP sale has been sliced up into the six tasty morsels; Red Faction, Homeworld, MX, Darksiders, other owned [...]
Vita sales are still poor, the amount of games being produced for it is tanking, but at least one indie game is actually doing better on the Vita than on Steam and Xbox Live. Retro City Rampage has apparently been most successful on the Vita according to developer Brian Provinciano. It’s not only sold more copies on PSN, but because of PS+ making the game free for a month, there’s way more [...]
All that needs to be said is that Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, the PSone classic RPG from 2000, is coming to the PlayStation Network tomorrow for $9.99. You need to buy it. Thank you, ATLUS.
