Wow, 15 years already? Seems like it, and Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA for short) is celebrating by giving we, the players, some extra bang for our buck with discounts and free stuff!

Dissidia: Final Fantasy has a sequel, with a strange and over-the-top typeset title: Dissidia [duodecim] 012: Final Fantasy. Yeah, what’s up with that, right? But more importantly, this new Dissidia sequel will have Lightning Farron from Final Fantasy XIII and our favorite Dragoon, Kain Highwind, from Final Fantasy IV. This all comes from the latest issue of Japanese magazine Shonen Jump. Dissidia Duodecim has been announced for a 2011 release [...]

Yoshinori Kitase, producer of the third installment of the Parasite Eve games entitled “The 3rd Birthday,” has gone on record to say that bringing the first two games of the series to the PlayStation Network is being “looked into.”

During E3 2010, Sony announced their new marketing campaign for the PSP, featuring an African American child named Marcus. He’s effectively the Kevin Butler of the PSP, only more annoying and not fun to watch. At all. The new marketing campaign is set to target the PSP at a “younger” crowd, who has more time to play games.

In a move surprising absolutely bloody no one Marvel and Sega announced a third person action-adventure game based on the God of Thunder himself, Thor. It probably has nothing to do with the upcoming film adaptation. Oh wait… “We are proud to be bringing Thor to his first solo video game adventure”, commented Gary Knight, senior VP of marketing at Sega.”

E3 is over, which means we’re gearing up for Gamescom in Cologne, happening from the 18th to 22nd of August. It’s basically the European equivalent of E3, for those not in the know. I should mention I’m excited about it, [...]

The E3 Expo is over for this year, and we learned a ton of new stuff. We know the name and games for Microsoft's Kinect, we know what the new Zelda title is, we know what David Jaffe has been working on, and that there's a new Rayman title in the works. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! However, there were some things gamers were expecting to see, but that never appeared. Here's a rundown of things that were MIA.

Yet Sony forgot to mention that you need a 3D TV in order to experience games in 3D, which goes against Sony’s boasts about being “best on 3D”, not to [...]

Today has been another exciting day at E3 2010. Today we saw Nintendo and Sony, rivals for over a decade, show off their newest creations. Needless to say, the announcements today were utterly mindblowing, and we even got a special surprise thrown in from Valve! Before you continue, be sure to take a look at yesterday’s overview for Day One of the expo. And now, on to E3 2010 Day [...]

Square Enix has just released a press release detailing it’s complete (to our knowledge) E3 line-up. All the obvious titles are amongst the list, such as Final Fantasy XIV, Front Mission Evolved, Deux Ex 3, the gruesomely violent Kane and Lynch 2, and the recently announced Dungeon Siege 3. The 3rd Birthday, a new instalment in Square’s old Parasite Eve franchise is also on the list, finally confirming its release [...]
