Crytek have partnered with EA again, developing Crysis 2, the sequel to the wildly successful game. Crytek have updated their amazing Crytek Engine, touting a mix between the sandbox game, and linear gameplay, taking the best of both worlds. The game will also be in 3D, saying it will be the first game to be in stereoscopic 3D. It will be out in Holiday, 2010.

The EA conference is going on right now, and we just learned that they are bringing the game over to the consoles, complete with the sharing and connectivity from the PC version. More on this, as well as the trailer, when we get a hold of it. Which we now do! Check it out after the cut.

During their E3 press conference Microsoft showed off several launch games coming to the Xbox Kinect, being launched this holiday. First off was Kinectimals, a pet simulator not unlike the Sony EyePet. A little girl played around onstage with her pet tiger Skittles. Microsoft’s still shooting for the Xbox becoming the ultimate living room entertainment platform, and during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, the sports channel ESPN was announced for Xbox Live. It’s probably America exclusive, so sorry my fellow Europeans. This deal is an exclusive partnership between ESPN and Microsoft, offering live and on demand sports events – Football, Basketball, NBA, MLB, Soccer (European Football) – the works. At the E3 press conference today, we got to see some fottage from the Halo: Reach single player/co-op campain. It showed us the new weapons we had already seen in the multiplayer beta, and also the armor mods, like shield and jetpack. Also from the beta will be the new melee kill animations. New exclusive Crytek game shown off during Microsoft’s E3 press conference: Codename Kingdoms It appears to be a game about gladiators, and it’s an exclusive partnership with Crytek. During the video shown off for Codename Kingdoms it was difficult to tell if the people in the trailers were CG or actual people with a visual filter draped over them.

MGS Rising is unlike anything we’ve seen before, according to the game’s producer. It’s based on a Japanese philosophy of Zan-Datsu, in Japanese, Zan means to cut, datsu means to take. The general theme of the game is to “cut”, a word that appeared numerous times during the gameplay footage. Call of Duty: Black Ops is now confirmed for 11/09/10  by Microsoft’s Don Mattrick during Microsoft’s E3 press conference. The game looks incredible, running on what appears to be a modified Modern Warfare engine. Microsoft and Acitivision have made an exclusive multi year agreement.
