Long title, right? But I don’t care. EarthBound is FINALLY coming to the Wii U Virtual Console this year! I’ve been waiting years for this news and I will shout it to the heavens because it’s really happening! No rumor, no speculation, it was announced officially during this morning’s Nintendo Direct press event that it is fact and it is happening later this year. Sadly, no confirmed date yet aside [...]

The Knife of Dunwall, the single-player DLC for last year’s critical darling Dishonored, has received a gameplay trailer today courtesy of publisher Bethesda. Sticking players in the villainous shoes of the Daud, the titular assassin, it shows off not only the new locales that you’ll be murdering around in but also how your fellow AI companion assassins take care of business as well. Take a look.

Today marks the announcement of the final Rock Band DLC release set for April 2nd on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. It’s been no surprise for over a week now that the final song is “American Pie” from Don McLean, which seems like a wonderful finale song for a game I’ve held near and dear to my heart for so long. The pricing is nothing new, so I’m not [...]

We’re coming up to the end of things here and while I am depressed beyond belief that Rock Band will be ending DLC in a little over a week, I can finally rest well knowing that my five years of requesting Chevelle have finally paid off. Shame it wasn’t a week earlier to celebrate my birthday. I WILL make it known, however, that Harmonix calling it “Chevelle Pack 01” when [...]

The process of releasing each song previously packaged with Rock Band Blitz as standalone DLC has been tedious in my opinion, but the process will cease when the final bunch is released on the 19th of March, which includes Shout by Tears For Fears, Diamond Eyes by Deft—I mean, Shinedown, and the “I just shot Marvin in the face” song. Check out the full details, as well as RBN details, [...]

Apologies for the late and brief update this week, but I’m balls deep in boxes from moving and I just barely squeaked out the time to scribble this little post while stealing my neighbor’s internet. This week’s PS Plus freebie is Joe Danger 2: The Movie for the PS3. To go along with that freebie, you can get yourself a discount on the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Ultimate Edition, [...]

Now I know what this looks like. We’ve already been burned burn Major Nelson for having this Scott Pilgrim add-on announced and never coming to light, twice. This time it’s different, I swear! Wanna know why? Look after the jump and I will explain. Not enough for you? What if I said there was a trailer now?

Wow, Harmonix just keeps dealing the blows. First Rock Band axes their weekly DLC, something that has been continuous for the past 278 weeks and now they are ending their Dance Central DLC. The reasoning given for the sudden stop of DLC for their games is that “the talented developers who make this content are needed on other projects.” While I don’t doubt that that is one of the reasons [...]

I may be in the middle of a move right now, but with only three original Rock Band DLC releases until the end of the world end of scheduled weekly DLC, I’m sure as hell not missing out on posting these so I ran on up to Walmart to jump on one of their display PCs to get filthy looks and post about Rock Band. You’re welcome. Maybe I should’ve [...]

The final DLC expansion for Battlefield 3, titled Endgame, allows players to get to grips with a whole bunch of new vehicles, a quartet of new maps and two gameplay modes; Capture the Flag and Air Superiority. Probably the best thing of all that Endgame brings to the table are the dirtbikes; hugely zippy scrambler things that allow two players to dart about the map at speed and with bespoke [...]
