Truly no pun intended in that title there. Nintendo of Europe has released a really, really big list of upcoming DS and Wii games, running to the end of the third quarter. The full list can be found after the cut, though the sad news is that there are only about 3 games to be excited about in the entire lot.

Mistwalker’s The Last Story, a.k.a “Not Final Fantasy rehash” has been allowed to simmer for a while and I am definitely excited about Sakaguchi’s upcoming game. Unfortunately, it might be his last. On the Mistwalker website, the developer said he was “completely pouring everything into [this game], there is a strong feeling this may be my last work.”

Eoji Aonuma has told ONM today that they are currently looking for a solid “early 2011″ release date for Zelda: Skyward Sword. “The basis we have now is very, very solid,” said Aonuma, the game’s producer. “Early 2011 – that is what we’re aiming for.” Nintendo has always had a “It’ll be done when its done” approach to their games, and this always leads to high quality, industry defining games being [...]

GamaSutra has posted the NPD sales figures of Blur, Alan Wake, Split/Second and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sand for May 2010, and the results are disheartening to say the least. Remedy’s Alan Wake, a 360 exclusive, only managed to sell 145,000 copies, with Ubisoft’s PoP: The Forgotten Sand selling less than 100,000 even though it was released five separate platforms. The Disney-published Split/Second netted itself only 86,000 sales between [...]

Fans of the Lego games (and if you’re not, why not?!) will be glad to hear that Lego: Harry Potter has managed to beat out Red Dead Redemption for a second week in the charts, taking the top spot. Super Mario Galaxy 2 sits just below the two at number 3. Check the full UK charts after the cut

Southern rockers, rejoice! Creedence Clearwater Revival are getting a proper selection of songs for the Rock Band series come Tuesday, July 6th. Twelve songs, no less! And I mean real southern rock. None of that “my wife took my truck and ran over my dog” bull. Track list under the cut.

E3 is over, which means we’re gearing up for Gamescom in Cologne, happening from the 18th to 22nd of August. It’s basically the European equivalent of E3, for those not in the know. The first publisher to reveal their Gamescom line-up is Konami with a total snooze-fest! First up on the list is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow which we all saw at E3. I should mention I’m excited about it, [...]

Regular controllers are fine, but what do you do when you need some controllers with a little extra oomph? What do you do when you need a controller that clearly sets itself apart from the pack? You get a Tron or Epic Mickey controller, of course!

Ubisoft’s E3 press conference this year was fairly uneventful apart from the announcement of a new Rayman game, and some further details on Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. One of the titles I’ve been anticipating for a long time, I am Alive, was a complete no-show.
