Activision, in their infinite knowledge, decided the world needed a new Family Guy game. Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse is the name of said game, and it’s due out this fall. Other than the news that the voice cast and writers will be working on it, no new information has been released. Knowing Activision, it will be a franchise, so be prepared for that! I know I’m not.
Shigeru Miyamoto, god among men and creator of such classics as Mario and Pikmin, has announced that the Wii U will be seeing Mario and Pikmin games. Confirmed in multiple interviews, Miyamoto has stated that Pikmin 3 will be at this year’s E3. He also announced that there would be a new Mario on Wii U, which may or may not be the rumored Mario 4. Nintendo’s E3 is shaping [...]
Caine’s Arcade isn’t your typical arcade, but from the imagination of a 9-year-old boy, something miraculous and wonderful has sprouted. Caine built a cardboard arcade inside his dad’s used auto parts store, and with a little help from dad, he made headlines across the internet. And our hearts. Watch the video behind the cut, and make sure to ‘Like’ this labor of love on Facebook.
Genre: Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game | Developer: BioWare Publisher: Electronic Arts/LucasArts | Platform: PC | Players: BAJILLION | Rating: T (Teen) I’ve had a mostly enjoyable ride from 1-50. It’s been filled with lightsabers and force-projected rocks and my sage doing some of the most un-sage-like things imaginable. Informing your troop-mate’s family that he was killed via a spin-kick to the face by a healer has to suck. That [...]
In lieu of anything related to Half-Life 3 (or anything 3 for that matter), big (lulz) Valve bossman Gabe Newell has gone on record to say that he “secretly” (not so secretly) geeks out about My Little Pony. Of course, he’s referring to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the latest iteration of the pastel ponies, spearheaded by American animation legend Lauren Faust, whose works include The Powerpuff Girls, Foster’s [...]
Ahh April 1st, you bring out the troll in everyone, whether it’s a simple “Look over there!” trick to lying about that prostitute you met in Vegas, what do you mean that wasn’t a joke? Stop laughing! Anyway, April Fool’s Day can bring out the worst in us all. Over the years, it has become an international internet holiday in which many companies “announce” new products such as the “Vintage [...]
Leaving compatible Pokémon at the Daycare is usually the way to get eggs, but what about actual romance? Putting two of your critters in the Daycare is the equivalent of buying them a couple of hours at the local Motel 6. True Pokélove will find a way. Love always finds a way, especially when you have a lot in common.
SXSW’s first panel of the day didn’t go so smoothly with technical difficulties constantly messing up the event. Microphones erratically changed volumes and the projector wasn’t working at first. Still, the insight that the journalists had despite the technicalities was interesting to say the least.
It’s been seven months since Indie Game: The Movie made their kickstarter quoata of $35,000, in fact they doubled it raising over $70,000, and in that time anticipation of the movie has grown to a fever pitch. Shirts were mailed to Kickstarter funders, a trailer was released, movie tour dates were posted, and then removed, but finally, the movie is here. It had an incredibly successful showing at Sundance Film [...]
DLC is one the biggest innovations of the current generation and whether it be for better or worse, it seems like it’ll stay. I love video games and if developers produce downloadable content, or DLC, then I will happily buy them. This will be first part of many that describe DLC and how it affects the industry/what it does. In this part I want to discuss DLC that act more [...]
