As you may already know, we’re pretty big fans of the Pokémon series here. And Pokémon Black and White is shaping up to be another fine entry in what’s already a great series of games.

Valve boss Gabe Newell recently came out to PC Gamer and revealed Valve was working on “at least three big surprises” in the next 12 months. How much are you willing to bet Half-Life Episode 3 won’t be among those surprises?

During E3 of last year, my jaw hit the floor with a resounding thud as Golden Sun: Dark Dawn was announced for the Nintendo DS. I loved both Golden Sun games for the GBA and had been anticipating a sequel for years.
Unfortunately, the actual release was far off, and we’ve had to sit patiently with “Holiday 2010″ as a tentative release date. Until now.
I’m a big fan of Spider-Man and one of my most anticipated titles of the year is Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, featuring a team-up of four different Spider-Men from different dimensions.
Adding to that anticipation is the following trailer, highlightning just what each Spidey is all about; stealth; speed; etc.
Not only that, all the voice actors are finally locked in for their characters. I, for one, can’t wait! Game’s out September 7. Video after the cut.

Microsoft announced today that as of November 1, 2010, the price of Xbox Live Gold will increase in Canada, the US, UK and Mexico. The annual price for Xbox Live Gold increases with $10 in the US, with appropriate price hikes in the other mentioned countries as well.
What does Tycho Brahe from Penny Arcade, Max from Sam and Max, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2 and Strong Bad from Homestar Runner have in common? Well, other than all of them being in a video game, probably not much. But Telltale Games is teasing the inclusion of all of them in their next game. It might not even be a game, but we can tell for sure that Telltale is developing something that includes all these characters.
Fook mi, that was fast. DeathSpank was released just over a month ago on the PSN and XBLA, but no later than September will we see a sequel: “DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue”.
The sequel is promised to be 50% longer than the first game, and continous on with the story about the world’s most overconfident hero. DeathSpank will journey to places like the high seas, a war zone and the North Pole among others.
During E3 2010, Sony announced their new marketing campaign for the PSP, featuring an African American child named Marcus. He’s effectively the Kevin Butler of the PSP, only more annoying and not fun to watch. At all.
The new marketing campaign is set to target the PSP at a “younger” crowd, who has more time to play games.
One of the many horses still being flogged in the video game industry is Beyond Good and Evil 2. And today, we’re going to be flogging it some more. According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, the title is (thankfully) still in development. He also says development on the title never stopped. This was confirmed by the man himself via Kotaku. And I’ve officially lost count over how many times Ubisoft has re-confirmed BG&E2.
“We were, as we are, working on the game,” Guillemot told me during a meeting at Germany’s Gamescom this week. “What is very import with this next product is that it will be perfect.”
