Last year I did a roundup of some of my favorite “news” that cropped up on April 1st and I’m here to do it again. I’m doing it despite someone one of our fellow writers beating me to the April Fools punch, but I don’t care! Jokes!
Half Life 4 Leaked
Just a small joke, no big, bombastic, front page atrticle found with this one. Just a small page with “Half Life 4″ buried in the Steam database that they know fans are constantly scouring for leaks. I applaud them for not going the obvious Half Life 3 route and just skipping to 4. However, since they did this, that probably means that they are really working on the third installment, thus making a joke of it would be impractical. Half Life 3 confirmed.
Toshiba is throwing their hat into the console ring with the greatest exclusive titles ever. If only “Stare-Down” could be ported to the Kinect…
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Store
While it is debatable whether or not this will be a real DLC expansion to Far Cry 3 (an achievement list was already leaked and the brief second of footage in the trailer looked like it had more effort put into it than it needed to have if it was fake) but with certainty, the web store is all kinds of fake. You can browse the promaotional cassette tapes, roller skates, waching machine, and steak here.
Cat Girl Without Salad!
WayForward has announced a new game for Nintendo 3DS, DS, Wii, Wii U, XBLA, PSN, PC, Vita, iOs, and Android. (What? No Windows Phone?) This game “follows the adventures of Kebako – a female space bounty hunter and four-star chef – searching for love and adventure on the intergalactic space seas. Kebako is joined by her insipid squadron of Calamarites on their quest to rid the cosmos of the notoriously-tardy NekoNekoNeko Clan.” Do you think you can handle all the promised genres represented including puzzler, platformer, shmup, action, shooter, adventure, strategy, fighting, rhythm, arcade, horror, tactical, RPG, TPS, RTS, and visual novel? Yeah, this game just blew your MIND.

Think Geek’s Aliens Chestburster-in-a-Can
Every year, Think Geek posts a few new items to their store. This year includes the Creeper Body Pillow, the Play-Doh 3D Printer, the Adventure Time BMO Interactive Buddy, and my personal favorite, an Aliens Chestburster-in-a-Can.
Teen Nick’s never before seen episode of Rocko’s Modern Life
Last week, Teen Nick advertised that a never before seen episode of Rocko’s Modern Life would be aired last night at midnight. Well, they delivered by recreating the “Mayo” episode of Wacky Deli. Let me explain. In an episode of Rocko’s Modern Life, Ralph Bighead creates, and subsequently sabotages a new cartoon show he is contractually obligated to create. One attempt was to create an episode which was just a static image of a jar of Mayo for the entire duration. Thanks you @SteveMightSay for grabbing a screen capture of the episode in progress.
