Eurogamer has clarified that that the second season of The Walking Dead will be out Autumn/Fall THIS year and not next.  Huzzah!

Telltale Games have said that they’re aiming to get Season Two of The Walking Dead into your hands in Autumn 2014.

According to an article on Eurogamer, developer CEO Dan Connors said that ”We’re aiming for fall next year,” after the game scooped up the Best Story BAFTA Game Award last night at the BAFTA ceremony.

While that’s a long wait indeed, its safe bet to assume that the second season will mark the next-generation debut for the series.  Additionally, before now and then the studio has promised that we’ll have more Walking Dead to keep us occupied with writer Gary Whitta saying ”there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before Season Two. We may have a little something extra for you between Season One and Season Two,”.

This great news as the first season of The Walking Dead was a prominent regular in many folks Game Of The Year lists and for good reason too; it had a deeply emotional narrative, great pacing and superb character development.

At the minute, Telltale Games main priority is finishing work on an episodic adaptation of another graphic novel property; this one being ‘Fables‘ by Bill Willingham.

According to Connors, the first episode of that ”should be coming out in the next couple of months”.

Happy days indeed.
