As a self-professed “undying whore” for Collector’s Editions, I’m starting to think things are getting just a wee bit ridiculous.

The folks over at IGN had the big reveal showing the contents of the Paladin Multi-Mission Aircraft Edition of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Retailing at a whopping $169.99, the package will include a copy of the game, an 88 page Splinter Cell Echoes graphic novel, a poster, some in-game digital content, and oh yeah, a goddamned R/C plane.

According to Ubisoft, the included plane is a “custom three-channel, dual-motor plane modeled after the in-game mobile headquarters” and that it does indeed fly. Because if you’re dropping $170 on a special edition with a goddamned plane, that plane sure as hell better fly!

Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be available August 20th and the Paladin Collector’s Edition will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 for $169.99. Check after the jump for a better look at the full package!
