WB Games and Netherealm Studios have popped out a new set of moving images for their forthcoming DC Comics powered scrapper Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Whether or not this turns out to be anything more than a PG-13 version of Mortal Kombat  with comic book folk turning up to grab a paycheck remains to be seen until we get the thing in our hands.  With that said, the trailer embedded after the break certainly shows the game off to at least be a fun brawler which brings together some of DC Comics most famous faces in an pleasingly over-the-top melee.

The game is due to release for Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 16th in the US, whilst European gamers have to wait an extra three days to purchase the game on April 19th.

Various collector’s editions of the game are available to pre-order and a Wii U version of the game is due to hit at a later, unspecified time.
