UPDATE:
Namco Bandai have now confirmed that European players will get the demo this Wednesday. As previously suspected, the demo itself is a two level demo that contains two different bosses; Moltaan and the Guardian Of The Woods.
The US Playstation Blog has announced that a demo of the forthcoming Studio Ghibli & Level-5 collaborative JRPG effort, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, will arrive sometime this week.
Catch the rest of the post after the jump.
What the demo contains, however, is a mystery at this point but I wouldn’t be too surprised if it was the same two-level demo that was available at the Eurogamer Expo this year, with one level set on a timed volcano and the other set in a mystical, fairy-tale esque forest.
Despite the announcement of the taster for North American folks, the EU Playstation Blog hasn’t made a similar post; but fear not, the European blog doesn’t get updated until Tuesday usually so the demo could still be a thing for the denizens of the Old World. Should the worst (and unlikely) case scenario come to pass however, and a European release doesn’t manifest itself then I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be that hard to obtain it through other means.
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a massively epic JRPG, generously covered in a luscious veneer of Studio Ghibli art and animation.
Indeed, when we went hands on it a few months back, we thought it was chuffing brilliant.
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch releases in North America on January 22nd, 2013 exclusively on PS3 and three days later on January 25th in Europe.
