Sorry for the late update today, was a bit out of my control…

Anyways! A three pack of Elton John hits is set to hit Rock Band 3 and Rock Band Blitz on Tuesday, but only two of the songs are actually new?

Get the details on that and a fairly lackluster Rock Band Network update after the jump.

Rock Band DLC for 12/18

  • Elton John – Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me
  • Elton John – The Bitch is Back
  • Elton John – I’m Still Standing

No, your eyes do not deceive you. I’m Still Standing, one of the tracks from the Rock Band Blitz soundtrack, is in this week’s three pack. It’s a great benefit to Wii owners, that’s for sure, and quite possibly people who didn’t pick up Rock Band Blitz, but when Blitz was $15 for 25 songs, I’m guessing this is mainly for Wii owners.

Single tracks, as always, run $1.99 on PS3, 160 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360, and 200 Wii Points on the Wii. The full pack runs $5.50/440 MSP/550 Wii Points. In a bit of extra bad news, there is no pro guitar upgrade this week.

In addition to the Elton John lineup, PS3 owners will get the following Rock Band Network tracks. All tracks are $1.99 unless otherwise noted.

  • Between the Buried and Me – All Bodies
  • Lee-Leet – So High
  • Magnefora – Für Elise (Beethoven) ($.99)
  • Scrathing the Itch – Fight the Rain
  • Weeping Buddhas – Sweet Rain

Lastly, Xbox 360 owners didn’t have much of a Rock Band Network selection this past week which saw the release of the following tracks. All songs are 160 MSP unless otherwise noted.

  • Dante – Last
  • Kenny Wesley – The Window (80 MSP)
  • Nuke Wrath Tech – Splitting Time (80 MSP)
  • One Year Later – Shapeshifter
  • One Year Later – Shapeshifter (2x Bass Pedal)
  • Rusty Cooley – The Duel

That’s it for this week. Fingers crossed we see a nice holiday pack next week for Christmas. It’s been a while since we’ve seen some Christmas music released officially in Rock Band. There’ve been some RBN tracks, but nothing official for a while. I personally would lose my mind if we saw “Making Christmas” from Rise Against. Then again my niece has been watching The Nightmare Before Christmas like crazy lately, so that might be a reason…
